Hinata, also known as Solana in the anime, has made several appearances. She debuted in "The Green Guardian," where she accompanied Ash and his friends to assist an injured Celebi. Later, she reappeared in the two-part episode "Pokémon Ranger - Deoxys Crisis!" where she encountered Ash and friends again amidst a Deoxys-related incident.

Solana was featured in the opening sequence "Spurt!" starting from the episode "All That Glitters is Not Golden." She also had a brief cameo in the opening of "Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea."

During her initial appearances, Solana held the rank of a Rank 3 Ranger. In "Pokémon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu! Parts One and Two," she appeared in a new uniform without her Plusle by her side.

In the Pokémon Ranger manga series, which was published on the Japanese Pokémon website alongside the game's release in April 2006, Solana became a Ranger before Lunick. She imparted significant knowledge to Lunick about becoming a Pokémon Ranger. Currently, both are Rank 10 Rangers.

Solana always prepares thoroughly before undertaking any mission. Even during her free time, she reads numerous documents and gathers information related to upcoming missions.

After the Ranger Leaders from Ring Town, Fall Town, and Wintown failed in a mission involving Deoxys, Professor Hastings dispatched Solana and Lunick to complete the task that the previous leaders could not finish.
