Chimchar is a bipedal Pokémon that looks like a chimpanzee. Its fur is mostly orange, but its face, outer ears, underbelly, hands, and feet are light yellow. Its ears are large relative to its head and have red interiors. It has red markings around its eyes, two pointed teeth in its upper jaw, a swirl-like symbol on its chest, and five fingers on its hands with three toes on its feet. On its head, it sports a swirly crest of hair. There's a small, round, red patch on its rear which is often hidden by flames produced from burning gas in its stomach. These flames can't be extinguished by rain but go out when Chimchar sleeps and burn weakly when it feels unwell. In the past, this flame led people to mistake it for an apparition called the "Lantern-Tail." Chimchar is highly agile and can climb the rocky cliffs of tall mountains where it resides. Recently, it has been spotted living in the Terarium of Blueberry Academy.
Evolution
Chimchar evolves into Monferno, which then evolves into Infernape.
