Tucker's sole appearance in the anime was in the episode "Tactics Theatrics!!".
In the series, he is depicted as a major celebrity who enjoys entertaining others and has a vast fan base. Before battles, he allows challengers to send in their Pokémon from other locations. Even though Ash could have taken advantage of this rule, he chose to use two Pokémon from his current team: Corphish and Swellow.
During a double battle against Ash Ketchum, Tucker deployed an Arcanine and Swampert. This intense match occurred at the Battle Dome in front of a large audience. Although Tucker had a strong start thanks to his Pokémon's teamwork and strategy, he was ultimately defeated by Ash.
Manga
At the start of the Battle Frontier saga, Tucker encountered Emerald while riding his Salamence to the Battle Frontier Opening Ceremony. Emerald assaulted him, tied him up, and tossed him backstage during the ceremony. He was later found by the other Frontier Brains, who released him. Infuriated, Tucker began yelling at Emerald on stage until Scott intervened, urging him to be quiet. This incident sparked a fiery grudge in Tucker against Emerald.
Tucker witnessed Emerald's victory over Noland and promptly summoned the boy to his facility. However, it turns out that the Battle Dome challenge was actually Emerald's fifth test.
Unlike in the games where Tucker only challenges trainers after winning a certain number of tournaments, in the manga, he actively participates in these tournaments himself.
