Hien is a fierce and short-tempered man, serving directly under Shigi in the Kutō army. He is a formidable warrior, capable of matching Uruki even with one arm and nearly defeating Tomite, rivaling Shigi's prowess. The lone survivor of an attack that obliterated his village, Hien was discovered by Hakei who immediately offered him a position. Consequently, his allegiance lies solely with Hakei and Shigi.
During Uruki's tenure in the Kutō army under the alias "Taki," Hien and Shigi are instructed by Hakei to take Taki along on their mission to eliminate Takiko and the Celestial Warriors. Despite neither trusting Taki, they keep him in the army due to Hakei's insistence. In a confrontation against Takiko and Tomite, Hien loses his arm to Uruki. Initially posing as an ally, Uruki transforms into a woman and ambushes Hien from behind, severing his arm. Driven by vengeance, Hien relentlessly pursues Uruki, determined to see him dead at any cost.
