Scizor is a bipedal, insect-like Pokémon with a red, metallic exoskeleton. It possesses gray, retractable forewings and hind wings featuring simple, curved venation. Its rounded head features three blunt horns extending above its forehead and eyes with dark yellow pupils. Scizor’s thin, black neck connects to a black, teardrop-shaped patch on its thorax. The Pokémon has broad shoulders and thin, segmented arms ending in large, round pincers, which make up a third of its body weight. Scizor sports a large, rounded abdomen adorned with three black, chevron-shaped stripes extending from its waist down its front; female Scizors have larger abdomens compared to males. Scizor's legs are characterized by large hip joints, thin thighs, and wide calves, with feet that end in clawed toes on each side. Its arm pincers resemble those of crustaceans like crabs, and the presence of eye-like markings creates the illusion of additional heads.
Scizor’s body and muscles are composed of metal as hard as steel, with pincers strong enough to crush any hard object. These pincers can open and close like jaws and feature black eyespots with yellow "pupils." To scare off predators or enemies, Scizor will raise and wave its pincers around, giving it the appearance of having three heads. Upon identifying an enemy, Scizor uses its pincers to beat the opponent until only scraps remain. Despite being unable to fly, Scizor flaps its wings quickly to regulate its body temperature and prevent overheating and melting. It boasts tremendous power despite its slim build and is rarely found in the wild, though it can be discovered in grasslands.
Forms
Scizor can Mega Evolve into Mega Scizor. In this form, Mega Scizor’s pincers lengthen and develop serrations. The lower half of the pincers turns white and gains three-pointed spikes on the underside. These barbs can pierce through concrete, trapping opponents who cannot escape. Its eyespots, along with its actual eyes, turn blue, with the former also gaining a black rim. Additional pieces of black armor appear on various parts of its body: a three-pointed crest on its forehead and striated coverings on its shoulders and thighs. Mega Scizor’s legs become less detailed, resembling large, tapered spikes with white tips.
While formidable, Mega Scizor cannot maintain this form for extended periods due to excess energy from its Mega Evolution, leading to improper body temperature regulation. After too long, its body starts to melt, losing the strength to wield its heavy pincers. Though capable of shredding anything it grabs, Mega Scizor prefers beating things up instead of grasping them.
Evolution
Scizor evolves from Scyther, representing one of Scyther’s final forms. In the Hisui region, Kleavor serves as Scyther’s alternative final form.
