Greninja is a bipedal, frog-like Pokémon. It is primarily dark blue with a yellow chest, white triangular markings above each eye, light blue four-pointed stars on its thighs, and yellow on the lower half of its face. Its red eyes have white pupils, and its mouth is concealed by a large, pink tongue that wraps around its neck and extends behind its head. A fin-like structure runs down the middle of its head, with similar fins on each side, connected by light blue webbing. There are large, bubble-like bumps on its elbows and knees. Its back feet have two toes, while its front feet have three, each tipped with bulbous ends and yellow webbing.
Greninja moves with the speed and agility of a ninja. It employs rapid movements to confuse enemies while slicing them with compressed water weapons, often in the shape of throwing stars. These stars are sharp enough to cut through metal.
Forms
Greninja has an alternate form: Ash-Greninja. Through a process known as the Bond Phenomenon, certain Greninja, like Ash's in the anime, can transform into Ash-Greninja. In this form, Greninja’s skin becomes a lighter shade of blue, its face gains red stripes, and its cheeks and side fins turn black, resembling Ash’s hair. Its legs become stronger, allowing it to create large Water Shurikens on its back. Ash-Greninja is always male.
Evolution
Greninja evolves from Frogadier and is the final evolution stage of Froakie.
