Flora is Schierke’s mistress, teaching her the arts of magic and Od (spirit energy, life force, etc.). Besides being a powerful witch of unknown age, she is an old friend of the Skull Knight, whom she views as "still having a human heart." This suggests that Flora knew the Skull Knight before he took on his current ghastly form.
Before residing in the woods outside Enoch village, she roamed the land, aiding people with her magic until the Holy See's influence forced her into seclusion.
At the Skull Knight's request, Flora assisted Guts' company by placing magical seals on Guts and Casca's brands to prevent evil spirits from being drawn to them. She also supplied them with essential magical equipment for their battle against the trolls. Flora informed Schierke that Guts is the man whose destiny is intertwined with hers, though Schierke initially did not believe it.
Flora willingly perishes in a fire when Griffith sends apostles to hunt down any witches powerful enough to oppose him. However, before her death, she ensures a safe escape route for Schierke and Guts, allowing them and their companions to flee the destruction of her home.
