Einosuke is the father of Takiko, and he is the one who translated The Universe of Four Gods. However, shortly after completing the translation, Takiko becomes the priestess of Genbu. Einosuke can read about her adventures in the book, including the emotions she experiences when she briefly returns to the real world. During this time, he apologizes and explains that he had never regretted having a daughter. He reveals his intention to use the power of the book to heal his wife's illness.
When Takiko returns for the second time, Einosuke discovers that he himself is suffering from tuberculosis. Desperate, he tries to destroy the book but fails. According to the original series, Einosuke will be forced to kill Takiko to save her from being devoured by Genbu, and he would later take his own life. Knowing from personal experience that the book cannot be destroyed, Einosuke entrusts The Universe of Four Gods to his assistant, Takao Ōsugi.
