Clodsire is a four-legged, amphibious Pokémon with a rounded body. The upper part of its body is dark brown, while the lower part is light brown, creating a wavy pattern in between. It has small black eyes, a wide mouth, and tiny nostrils. Each of its four legs is round and features three digits. A short dorsal fin extends along its lower back, ending at its thick, bulbous tail. Clodsire shares many traits with its non-Paldean counterpart, Quagsire.
On Clodsire's back, there are six light purple circular spots. When threatened, Clodsire can extend large, thick, light purple spines from these spots as a defensive mechanism, though it is a risky move. This Pokémon resides in the depths of ponds and swamps, where it assists Paldean Wooper by carrying them on its back to help them cross bodies of water.
