Diancie is a petite Pokémon with a somewhat humanoid look. Its lower half resembles a cone-shaped gray rock, adorned with a sizable pink diamond on its side. The upper portion of its body features two arms and is enveloped in a white material akin to a dress. Small, mitten-like hands emerge from the sleeves. Around its neck lies a golden half-circlet with a central pink diamond. Diancie's head is gray, boasting purple eyes with red sclerae and pointed ears. Atop its head rests a collection of pink crystals forming an elaborate headdress. This includes four spike-like formations along the top, two elongated crystals hanging down from the sides, and a large circular centerpiece on its forehead. A small golden pendant hangs from the center crystal, while a tiny pink diamond is embedded at the back of its head.
Diancie originates from a Carbink that undergoes a mysterious mutation. It possesses the ability to instantly create diamonds by compressing carbon from the air. These diamonds serve both as offensive and defensive tools. Renowned for its shimmering pink form, Diancie is considered one of the most beautiful sights in the world. It typically inhabits underground caves rich in diamonds, like the Diamond Domain, where it reigns over many Carbink as their queen. Occasionally, Diancie has been observed traveling or residing with others. In the anime, it demonstrates telepathic communication abilities.
Forms
Diancie can Mega Evolve into Mega Diancie. As Mega Diancie, its white dress extends and loses its sleeves. Its lower body transforms into a pink crystal encircled by long, headdress-like formations. On the back, both the dress and these crystals are elongated, with additional smaller crystals suspended from the larger ones. The circlet around its neck now curves outward, and an extra half-circlet appears around its waist. The centerpiece of its headdress becomes heart-shaped, with the remaining crystals slightly reduced in size. The side crystals gain additional pendants, and a new crystal hangs from the back of its head. The diamond on the back of its head rounds off, flanked by two smaller gems from which ribbon-like structures grow, each bearing two small crystals at their tips. The head diamond weighs over 2,000 carats.
Mega Evolution endows Diancie with enhanced control over diamonds, enabling it to forge a sword during battles. With surface impurities shed, Mega Diancie radiates so brightly that direct eye contact becomes difficult when reflecting light. Known as the "Royal Pink Princess" due to its colors and appearance, Mega Diancie combines beauty with skill, adapting swiftly to any situation.
