Klefki is a diminutive, grayish-white Pokémon that looks like a keychain adorned with four keys. It features a round head with a tiny pink oval on its forehead. Its eyes are depicted as two black circles, and its mouth is represented by a keyhole. Below the head is its pink, teardrop-shaped body, marked with a white teardrop in the center. Atop its head is a horn resembling an old-fashioned key, complete with two broad, blunt teeth. This key-like horn extends into a thin loop around Klefki, from which various collected keys dangle. Klefki is notably small, sharing the title of shortest Steel-type Pokémon with Alolan Diglett and Meltan.
Known for their calm demeanor, Klefki originally lived in mines. As their mineral food source dwindled, they migrated to human settlements. They now obtain nourishment by inserting their key-like horn into metal crevices to feed on metal ions. Klefki has a penchant for collecting keys, especially master keys, often sneaking into homes to pilfer them. They collect keys not only for sustenance but also to ward off predators by shaking their collection menacingly. It is believed that Klefki's key-like appearance evolved to suit its habit of key gathering. Despite feeding on keys, Klefki will hold onto favored ones for decades, making people entrust important keys to it to avoid theft. Occasionally, however, it discards a key without hesitation. Historically, nobles kept Klefki for generations, carefully nurturing them while entrusting them with significant vault keys.
Klefki is unique among Pokémon for being able to learn the move Fairy Lock. In Generation VI, Crafty Shield was another signature move exclusive to Klefki. (Source: Bulbapedia)
