Charcadet is a humanoid Pokémon believed to originate from burnt charcoal. Predominantly black, its body features red extremities and torso, while its head is mostly orange with red accents on the top and back. The large head sports a flame-like crest above it, adorned with pink and dark blue tips. Charcadet’s forehead is shielded by a black mask with three central holes, and its eyes emit wisps from red-and-yellow pupils. Connecting its head to its tiny neck, Charcadet's torso resembles a tunic, with an orange protrusion at the front that links to its neck. Its cylindrical hands and feet bear small teardrop-shaped indents on their soles, complemented by a fiery "cape" on its back.
Charcadet possesses a fierce fighting spirit and eagerly battles opponents stronger than itself. Its firepower intensifies during combat, reaching temperatures exceeding 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit (1,000 degrees Celsius). It has a preference for fat-rich Berries. According to episode HZ057, Charcadet has inhabited Paldean lands since ancient times, forging connections with humans. In this episode, it was also noted to have accompanied nobility and knights in the past. Charcadet’s evolution is influenced by old armor sets: one imbued with auspicious wishes and another harboring malicious intent.
