akagi

Akagi, also known as Cyrus, is the leader of Team Galactic. He made his first appearance in "Losing Its Lustrous!" and "Double Team Turnover!" alongside Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. It was revealed that he is a wealthy businessman who has constructed many buildings and libraries throughout Sinnoh. However, Ash and his friends are unaware that he is the head of Team Galactic. Under his guise as a businessman, he visits the Celestic Town Historical Research Center while other Team Galactic members execute a plan to steal the Lustrous Orb from the center, having already taken the Adamant Orb from its Eterna City police escort.

He learns from Ash and Dawn that they have encountered Azelf and Mesprit when they recount their experiences with the mysterious Pokémon at Lake Verity and Lake Valor, which seems to pique his interest.

Cyrus reappears in "Saving the World From Ruins!" He is seen at Team Galactic's headquarters with Saturn, Jupiter, and Charon, coordinating Mars's mission on Iron Island and using a beam launched with the Spear Key to scan energy readings from the Spear Pillar. Unfortunately, Mars's machine is destroyed when the scan reaches only 60%, presumably thwarting their mission. Despite this setback, Cyrus does not seem discouraged. He takes control of Dialga and Palkia using the Red Chain.

Cyrus also shows up towards the end of "Unlocking the Red Chain of Events!" where he requests J's help in capturing Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf. In "The Battle Finale of Legend!" he seizes control of Dialga and Palkia and steps into a portal created by the two legendary Pokémon. The portal soon collapses, leaving Cyrus's fate uncertain.
