Absol is a quadrupedal, mammalian Pokémon with a predominantly white body interspersed with dark blue patches. It features a ruff around its neck and chest, topped by a crest adorned with a single blue-black oval. The dark fur, the curve of the white fur on its head, and the placement of its horn give Absol's face a vague resemblance to a wu wei symbol. Its feline face has almond-shaped red eyes, a scythe-like tail, and a scythe-shaped horn on the side of its head. Each broad foot has three claws, and dewclaw-like spikes protrude from the heels of its hind legs and the elbows of its front legs. It walks with a pacing gait similar to that of a bear.
Absol resides in remote mountainous regions, seldom descending from its high-altitude home. With its horn, it can detect even slight changes in the atmosphere and landscape, predicting impending disasters and attempting to warn nearby people. Absol is also known for protecting fields from natural calamities, though this often results in it being wrongly blamed for the disasters, especially by the elderly. This misconception stems from ancient superstitions about Absol, which have led to widespread fear and hatred. Despite this, some are intrigued by its disaster-predicting abilities, dubbing it a "bringer of doom." Absol is capable of moving swiftly like the wind and is said to live up to 100 years.
Forms
Absol can Mega Evolve into Mega Absol. As Mega Absol, its fur becomes longer overall, and the increased energy surging through its body causes the fur at the back of its mane to stand up, resembling wings. The spikes on its heels and elbows grow larger, and the fur in these areas lengthens as well. Its sickle-shaped horn widens, while an additional, smaller horn appears on the opposite side of its head. Its tail now has a more saw-like shape, and the oval marking on its forehead transforms into a rounded triangle.
Mega Absol emits a formidable aura that can shock and even kill those who are faint-hearted. It directs this aura towards opponents by flapping its "wings," which cannot actually enable flight. However, Absol reportedly dislikes assuming this form, as it generally avoids conflict.
