So, Asuka starts to fight back against JSSDF forces. Like in EoE, she proclaims she doesn't want to die and realizes that her mother has always been protecting her as Unit 02. In EoE there was some, to put it mildly, shocking imagery in this sequence that wasn't carried over. Admittedly this was a change I did not care for. I wonder if hearing Asuka is okay and fighting will knock Shinji out of his funk.

Best character in the whole series, the one who made it all entertaining, is finally back. Get rekt angels.

The manga is actually handling the whole Asuka thing a lot better than the movie did. I really like how it clearly states some things that were more ambitious in the manga. This chapter clearly the whole First Impact and what the motivations of the angels are. Plus we see that part of Asuka's mother was in the Eva all along.

Asuka's back, in typical Asuka style, picking up a massive war ship and all.

And they say Germans don't have a sense of humor...

Damn that ended just as Asuka was about to kick some serious ass :S

Maybe my memory is really bad, but don´t remember watching there a so detailed explanation about all this angel stuff. So great I read these manga.

wow, after all that anticipation of Asuka ass-kickery, Sadamoto onyl delivered 10 pages this month--it reminded me of the good old days when Hirano got lazy with Hellsing.



so far the past couple of chapters followed EoE tooth and nail except for the Gendo scenario. I'm hoping that Sadamoto's version of events will be much less brutal to Asuka. D:
