CHAPTER 52-53

(Back to the previous conversation of HC and SQS)
Since SQS teased him about HC's previous demand to report him constantly SQS actually complied happily, but during this reporting HC asked to change the tune from sweet to cool and collected, but SQS asked to what audience we're going to show it? HC thought indeed, SQS's family know of their passionate sick love, his own friends know the sweet love even crew knows about their character settings, how unfair to him. But SQS promised if here will be a chance he'll comply with it.
Time went by, weather got colder and colder and Christmas and New Year were around the corner. SQS on his hand swicthed to his second trumpet to write a romantic story and shared it on his popular yellow novel page, which made his fans say that he changed, but HC who was dissatisfied that again he finds out not from SQS, but by himself srill read the chapter (this time Su Qing is a transferred student and a tyrant and Cheng Han is his deskmate with many fights but still a first place tyrant, they met when a robber near the school tried to take Su Qing's money, he pretended to be a white flower to lure the robber but was saved by Cheng Han and that's how they met) and smashed another 20 rockets, which swarmed the comment section with CP comments enjoying the food.
HC at this time had a dinner with YMY, but were found by ZJM who wanted to find a present for his girlfriend and dragged these two and WY to the mall to shop. While they were choosing others asked if HC planned to give something to SQS, but HC said that SQS doesn't need such stuff, which made others look at him with a subtle expression saying that he's a bit of a scum right now. It doesn't mean that if SQS doesn't say it he might not like it. While HC thought that he spends so much money, what about 20 rockets, he's a good socialist brother used by the capitalist. With all the scuffle HC actually noticed a pendant in the shape of a cage with roses and just looked at it, the clerk asked if he wanted to see it, but he refused. ZJM also asked if HC is going to spend the time together and teased if there was a crisis, after all they just held hands and now this refuse to be together. HC said to take care of himself and leave him alone. After all they don't know that SQS and himself are not real lovers. The trio went home each in his own car, but ZJM called others and said that he bets HC will return to buy that gift and asked the other two to wait with him, they joined hands and chose a place where you could see the entrance to the previous shop and started to wait and betted the one who loses pays for dinner, ZJM said HC will come, YMY thought that it might be possible but not sure, but WY believed what HC said so he thought HC won't appear. The trio waited for almost an hour and were about to leave when ZJM exclaimed and told those to look, HC actually indeed turned back. He thought as if he was pulled by force, he was on his way home but still turned around, then earing ZJM was still around parked his car at nearby hotel and then walked to the mall. The sales girl remembered him and offered if he wanted to see the pendant, HC looked at the delicate work, the cage and the rose petals and inlaid stones, he asked ot wrap it up and add a chain, chose a simple platinum one, but also added a leather string to choose from, the sales girl told him his grilfriend will be happy with such a present, HC didn't clear it was not for a girlfriend, he actually didnt plan to buy SQS any gifts, but this cage could not disappear from his mind, maybe because Han Yu always talked into his ears about cages and over time he has some kind of intimacy with the cages? HC blamed the scumbag HY for this. But when he was done and went out he saw three smiling faces who asked him wasn't he the one who didn't plan to buy anything, was it the so-called social death HC thought. After being petrified he started to walk away. The trio rushed after him pestering what did he buy, HC even tried to lie he was here since his dad asked to buy a gift for mom, but ZJM still pestered to show. HC asked when did he become so nosy and gossipy. WY said how they got here because of ZJM but also said that he knew HC wasn't a scum. YMY continued that it's really surprising. HC could only ament at these unreliable people. He only accelerated his pace. One said that WY lost and pays for dinner, does HC want to eat together? HC refused. WY said that they even waited for almost an hour, which only made HC think that they even know it's almost an hour, why were you still here? Don't you feel bored. HC almost felt depressed, weren't they waiting for almost an hour to see his jokes.
In the end the four still ate together, ZJM several times tried to pry what HC bought but was stopped by HC. Going home HC asked for a driver and sitting looked at the small package. He can't help but admit that he liked this pendant. HC resignedly closed the box and dialed SQS.
SQS who was busy typing away picked up in a while. HC asked if he was busy these days, but SQS asked if he didn't show the notice? HC said that he will see him tomorrow then. SQS still felt happy that HC will come, which totally was obvious from his tone of voice, which made HC laugh. And also asked SQS to say something nice. SQS tried with few like Brother, you're the best and most handsome, but it still wasn't enough and HC asked a phrase that starts with a hundred (note: I presume it's about how a certain number order sounds like a phrase and that's what HC asks. But I tried to remember which starts with a hundred and could only think of 1314 or.. wasn't 'i love you' starting from hundred too? No right, since it should be 520 if I remember).
SQS asked to spare the poor brother, but HC jokes if SQS is really poor, so SQS said something to please HC (not mentioned what) that could barely satisfy HC. HC said it's still far from the hundred. SQS fel on the table and HC felt his depression and laughed saying to kiss him again and it will be enough.
HC: See you tomorrow
SQS: You already said it
HC: Saying it again so you can spare me some time
SQS: I know. So, are you in a better mood now?
HC: It's alright.
SQS: The what about before, were you unhappy by something?
HC: You don't need to worry about that.
No way HC will repeat his social death experience to SQS with his singing/chanting skills. HC swicthed to another topic saying that he's really kind to SQS wondered abut the sudden change but agreed that he is indeed the best person to him he met in this world. HC remembered about SQS's experience and felt sad for him, so he bid farewell to see him tomorrow. SQS said he will see him tomorrow with a 'mua~' at the end.
Next day afternoon SQS and BXG were sitting in this festive atmosphere, BXG compared them to frogs in a flower field, but SQS did not agree completely because he might be not alone today too. BXG guessed that HC must be coming and asked if the two actually got together. SQS only smiled. After all he couldn't say about their true relationship. Both looked at boxes with apples given to them, BXG said that these apples are his only present, but SQS will also have a present from HC. SQS disagreed, saying that he also has only apples, HC will only come to visit. BXG didn't believe it, because hwo could it be, it's the Xmas Eve, time to show affection and give gifts. SQS thought BXG was a naive brother, SQS thought he knew HC too well, so it was impossible to give gifts with their relationship. And he didn't want gifts either, HC already gave him a lot. But as for apples, he closed the box and thought that eating apples together will be more pleasing during the holiday than alone.
In the evening HC arrived and was escorted by Jianming up, HC asked him to rest early and he will reimburse the cost today for him to which Jianming thanked him.
SQS heard a knock and after opening the door he saw HC he hasn't seen for half a month. Looking handsome. He stepped aside and moved his gaze down seeing a small paper bag with a brand name on it feeling his heart flutter, did he really buy presents? Although few hours ago he vowed that it was impossible, but in this festive atmosphere when someone prepared a gift for him he felt really happy. But he was still not sure, only tentatively and hesitatingly asked "Is this for me?" with an obvious excitement in his bright eyes and unconcealed expectation in his voice.


 

CHAPTER 75-76

SQS returned to hotel after shooting, but schedule was changed due to the sudden popularity of the show and director decided to hit the steel while it's hot. Seeing several missed messages and calls from HC he video called him. But HC who was a bit  worked up was met with a view of SQS after shower, refreshed, blushed and full of obedience, so he asked when will the plane arrive tomorrow, so SQS told him the news of schedul change. HC promised to pick up and have dinner together which SQS did not refuse.
Next morning SQS had to shoot some additional materials, except commercial that Jianming agreed it would not be shot. Since director had a favorable impression of SQS he readily agreed. And also director scheduled next shooting after the actor who would come next issue, the one whose golden master sponsored the program and got all the topics so he could cheat and get the mvp, thus director didn't want to put them together to which SQS who was like a fish in the entertainment and knew its' rules agreed.
But SQS who arrived at the airport didn't expect to be picked up by fans who were really enthusiastic, SQS didn't expect that the first hot search would result in this. Jianming with Xiao Li (assistant) tried to protect SQS from the crowd when proceeding, while fans enthusiastically made photos and asked questions like if he will come to the program again, will there be works of SQS to watch and if he prefers to be named bamboo etc. Finishing chatting SQS went to security checkpoint.
HC on the other hand arrived home, washed and saw messages on his phone, since he was part of the SQS group there was a lot of activity due to people sharing experience meeting SQS or seeing photos of him. Some wanted same pendant as him, but as it happened it was a limited Xmas gift of a brand which is not available, which HC thought was a good thing, thinking that someone would have same pendant made him feel bad. Next they picked up SQS's watch and somone said its' cost is several million, which also flushed the entire chat with cold water and people agreed that SQS is a young second generation young master. Everyone gave up, except HC who said that with just that sum he can have it, which sent chat into frenzy that as expected of a tyrant and the smell of money is strong.
At the same time a quiet small group of CP fans was established who secretely discussed SQS and the unknown tyrant male fan amazing, even the previous name of the person is Cheng which totally goes well with SQS (I suppose some combination of their names made it look like word 'marriage' at least that's how it's described). Anyway these ans found it really sweet.
On the other hand HC sent SQS a message that he will pick him up later~ Baby~ ( :'D ) And thought that no matter how many fans SQS has, he is the only designated car owner who can hug SQS. HC was quite satisfied with that.
The trio struggled through airport, although Jianminng wanted to let SQS go through VIP passage but SQS refused, since his fans were here to see him and he needed some solid fans.
At some point he changed from the nanny car to the car driven by HC. HC joked that he acted too secretive as if being afraid to be photographed. SQS said it was fine, since in such cases only opposite sex pairs are the target and them being two men, despite same-sex relationships not being a big deal, but it's not always the first oprion ppl will think about.
The two had a meal and returned home, SQS was exhausted and just played salted fish on the bed not moving. HC told him to take shower before going to bed, but SQS asked to take him, HC again named him the young master, since between the two of them SQS acts more like a young master than HC. But HC still picked up SQS and surprisingly they found how tacitly they do it now, the power of habit hit it hard.
HC: Why am I used to you acting like this?
SQS: Yeah, how did it become like this?
HC: Aren't you embarrassed to say it yourself? Isn't it you who is lazy and squeamish?
SQS: I am so motivated and passionate about work, I do two jobs, acting and writing, where am I lazy?
HC: You still don't admit it. Who is it who wakes up after ten o'clock? Isn't it you who wants to eat, but can't cook? You are picky, afraid of pain, and want to be comfortable. So I, as the owner of the car, am like a long-term worker and you are used to being like this!
SQS: Then it's not easy for you. You are really a good car owner.
HC could help but squeezed SQS's face and asked to please him in this case.
SQS leaning and kissing: Is this alright?
HC, hugging SQS's waist and squeezing: Not enough.
SQS changing tactics: Is this alright?
HC: Still not, you should work hard~
SQS, leaning on HC's shoulder: master driver, I don't want to work hard anymore.
HC: You don't want to work hard so soon.
SQS: Yeah, so you come and work hard. *kissing HC's shoulder* You should continue to be accustomed to me.
HC, sighing helplessly at this young master: Ok, if it sounds nice.
SQS, softly: You are the best.
HC: Change to something else, I listened to it too many times
SQS: Gege, I've missed you so much these two days, don't you miss me?
HC: You really deserve to be an actor.

After tossing in the bathroom SQS was completely spent. Being wiped and sent to the bed SQS felt the familiar body temperature from HC and soon fell aslpee. In the morning HC habitually cold him to have breakfast and SQS sleepily woke up and went to the bathroom. And while brishing his teeth it downed on him how used he is to their routine. HC wakes him up for breakfast before he leaves for work, then SQS continues to sleep or he surfs the net or writes before HC returns back. During two days of shooting he'd search for HC when being woken up, hotel meals are nto as delicious as to what HC cooks. The habit forming is really scary and it is not really good. It is already February and the protagonist will appear at the end of March, beginning of April. SQS was lamenting at the time passing so fast and regretting that their cohabitation will end soon. HC is really suitable for coabitation. He is handsome, has good character, can cook and is willing to accomodate him. Living with him is very comfortable and relaxing. However, he is only a temporarily resident, not a permanent one. Fortunately, his career is on the right track now and even if he leaves he won't worry that he won't have a place to go. As for Han Cheng... he is about to welcome most important person for him and he must be happy too. So when the time comes he will leave, SQS thought this was a normal process. And he was prepared for it for a long time. He thought like this and walked out of the bathroom.
The crew of the TV series also did not expect sudden heat to come and so they used this opportunity to release the next trailer. Thus the hot search added not only the program but TV series title as well next to SQS's name. Two days later the crew released news that the show premier will be in a month. One platform bought rights for the broadcast using the accumulated heat. And for SQS this was a good news too, thought he thought it was quite soon, but he needed something that would follow his program release and will continue to help him expand, so his fans won't feel bored and leave due to lack of material. But he also has to make a movie soon and Jianming promised to look for resources. SQS agreed with this statement.
When the next issue of the program with SQS was recorded he was already familiar with the process, this time he also chose his own wardrobe and HC who saw SQS choosing a black shirt this time offered him his own and even when it was a bit ill-fitted made ppl re-do it so it'd completely be tight fitted for SQS. SQS said now HC won't be able to wear it, but HC just said that he'll make another one. But this shirt really suited SQS who really looked noble in it. HC liked it very much and said to SQS that he looks good in these clothes. SQS did't retort, in many cases he accepted HC's kindness since he knows that accepting this kindness will make HC happy and he wanted HC to be happy.
HC watched him after he helpted to button up how SQS's image was basking in the light. To HC this was his boy, the one who is about to spread his wings while he watched him grow. HC is not afraid of him flying away, because he knows SQS still has his mark on him, because no matter how he faces others he will always open his hands for him and let him hug him. He opened his hands and hugged SQS.
 

CHAPTER 41

The chapter is mostly about XiaoQi (the little white pet snake)
After staying at the set for some time and returning to the hotel SQS saw a new acquanintance - small white snake from yesterday, BXG's pet snak XaioQi. Which almost habitually started to crawl up SQS's leg but he picked it up so it wrapped comfortably around the wrist and enjoyed itself.
SQS decided to give it back but he and his agent didn't get any response after knocking the room of BXG so SQS could only send WeChat request.
BXG felt that as his fan SQS really couldn't hold back, but next thing surprised him. SQS wrote him about his pet snake and he was devastated, he as a father to his little girl found that his XiaoQi actually went around to find herself a bf.
Even his agent saw something is wrong and seeing that it was the snake around SQS's wrist she said that the snake likes him, thinking same as the owner. But BXG instead switched to that the little girl is still small and even though she's a snake if she was a person it'd be wrong. Which made his agent surprised, she preached about it for last two days seeing BXG's interest for SQS. So BXG basically was thinking what to do with this potential son-in-law and agent's reminder that SQS is older didn't stop.
They got back took the snake and BXG had to ask few questions since SQS was a potential son-in-law, so he can't treat the snake badly and back in the room BXG was reprimanding the snake for going around forgetting her old father in the search for romance. To distract him agent reminded him he wanted to nap to be in best shape, but in the end his best shape wasn't appreciated, since SQS haven't noticed anything, but what was surprising that.. XiaoQi came/crawled to him again.
And he had to send BXG a message again. Though by this time while he put the snake on the table and said how dangerous it was to crawl around etc he still found the snake really cute after few meetings.
BXG who again got he message that his snake escaped lamented how she discarded this old father and decided not to beat mandarin ducks but instead help promoting feelings and asked assistants to collect all the snake stuff to send it to SQS.


The chapter is pretty short, it's more about several funny inner turmoils on XiaoQi being unfilial snake in search for love, which I haven't expanded, since I have such a headache right now and have no  strength to type too much. 

I hope there's not anything too dramatic or too angsty. Came here for the fluff.
Still curious though how would the author play the confession part of the story and how would SQS would just say fuck it with the 'novel' plot he knew and go all the way with HC. 

Im curious about that too. I mean, with our couple having already that kind of relationship, It almost have no chance to break unless something drastic happens, or somehow the Novel!MC got some golden finger powers. I wish SQS too would have a bit of desire to fight for the current relationship that they have, given with how head strong his character is, why not change the plot. 

CHAPTER 32

(This was actually quite heart-warming, but first, let's die from laughter together how SQS speaks with parents)
HC agreed with his classmate who is into entertainment business that he will bring a person, although he still doesn't want SQS to enter that den of wolves and snakes, but at least he feels more at ease when he personally knows the company responsible for SQS, at least he also can repay for dealing with YJY too.
SQS yet didn't know that HC took dare of everything for him and was typing his yellow novel, when he received a call from mother Shen, but didn't answer, so mother Shen sent a WeChat that she is sick and wants to see him.
SQS: Serious?
Mother Shen: Not serious, just want to see you.
SQS: Then tell me when it gets serious.
MS: ... The child wants to wait for his parents to get seriously ill, you should regret it then
SQS: Regret not seeing your haggard face sooner? No, I am not so gloating.
MS: !!! Shen Qingshu, is this what a son should say? Do you still have a conscience, how can you talk to me like this!
SQS was lazy to type and switch to voice messages.

SQY was of course near to turn his tea set in time to play the filial son and tune in with his never-ending, he doesn't understand your worries about him etc. But lied that he didn't see SQS, because he knew if parents would have found out that SQS and HC were together, they'd drop him at the first turn.
HC got back home pulling SQS to help him wash vegetables and asked to go with him tomorrow morning. SQS was suspicious if it was YJY who came to bother him again, but HC said it had nothing to do with him, but because SQS wanted to film and that's why he contacted a company for him.
SQS: Don't you dislike with me going to film?
HC: I dislike it, but your life is not my life, you like what you want to do, I am not you, I naturally don't qualify stop you.
SQS: Then you still help me contact the company?
HC: Otherwise? Really let you go to the draft? Three months, I am afraid that the car is still that car, but the driver is no longer the same driver.
SQS, smiled
HC: Furthermore, in places like the entertainment industry, where dragons and snakes are mixed, and go in like this without nothing to back you. Who knows if the people you meet are dogs, so I might as well find someone. Knowing can make sure that nothing will happen to you.

HC, sighing: Isn't it? I think I'm too kind to you.
SQS: You are the best driver I have ever seen.
HC, with raised eyebrows: You seem to have seen other drivers besides me?
SQS: Even if I haven't seen it, I know you are definitely the best.
HC: So you promise to be a little behaved.
SQS: Don't worry. To be your private car, no matter how big the outside world is, I will definitely return to your garage.
HC seeing how happy it made SQS, he also felt happy.
At night SQS was too excited to sleep asking all types of questions and if they should bring the lawyer, but HC assured him, if that classmate dares to poke the wrong side, he'll just swallow his company as a whole. SQS still couldn't keep still, after all he wanted to film and now being told that he doesn't need to go to draft.
HC wondered, if you are so excited now, why didn't he tell him before that he wanted to film? If it wasn't for that accident he might not even know in the end.
SQS: I don't want to bother you. You have already helped me a lot by letting me live in your house. If I ask you to help me find a job, I would be embarrassed.
HC: I see you ver embarrassed now.

And because SQS was not going to sleep anyway HC offered to do some other happy things, to which SQS readily agreed.

tbh I think I'm not the only one who gets more and more disgusted by the Shen family, SQS was right that SQY grew up like that due to this father and mother. He didn't return for too long, he was never given an appropriate feeling of home, but you push him as a piece to you upstarts and call him unfilial, where the feeling of being grateful should come from? While you never even given him or original host any base to respect you. Such a hypocritical family, I can't wait for them to be slapped in the face so hard that they cheeks would bleed
Yet these two, they become sweeter and sweeter. 

Ahahaha damn I thought of alternative version with falling in love after one-night stand and it is so cliche I have goosebumps. But. Otherwise? They both went to have a one-night stand, actually no, I should skip SQS because he viewed it as a fantasy and his last wish to lose virginity, he didn't bother about anything, he wanted it all, but from HC's prespective he's a person who has one-night stand with a stranger, it was pretty logical for him to do that. But who made SQS so charming  He couln't escape in the end ahaha. 

If the author will stay with their original style, then I can say that there will be no deep drama, only some small ripples just to make the novel exciting and give SQS the chance to shine
The only splash could be exactly when it comes to love and love confessing. I'm also very curious how they will play it around.
