People complaining about Nanao most likely missed the point of everything so far.

Shunsui lot his brother and his brothers wife. And he made promises to both and those promises converge in protecting Nanao.

Thus its obvious shunsui made sure Nanao would never have to fight or be in some dangerous situation.

It also was foreshadowed in Shunsui/Ukitake VS Yamamoto fight where she had a huge freak out and Shunsui expressed regret of having brought her there.

Shunsui carried out his promise too well. She has never been injured. She never fought. She never experienced fear in battle.

By allowing Nanao to fight here and take the front (Which is yet again theatrical allusion with background and foreground of the stage)), Shunsui is actually trying to make peace with his regrets and allowing Nanao to graduate into being an adult.

This chapter really cemented it for me, this is possibly the worst fight in the series imo.

-Baro's stupid and random ass character design(s)

-Kyoraku's shitty overhyped bankai

-Ass-pull 'god-defying' weapon

-Nanao's forced backstory and pathetic characterization

-incredibly anti climactic ending (they literally just STAND there...)

1. It´s a desgin many people do like it.

2. It was hyped, screentime wasn´t enough and it was writtten confusingly.

How does his 3rd Dan connect to the 4t? What´s the point of the  Reiatsu draining when you slit his throat anyway?

3. Probably an issue that comes up when you force mythology and symbolism into your manga, out of nowhere. Yhwach and Aizens symbolism make sense, as both try to defy god and become god themselves in a manga about death gods.

Making Lile the Yamato no Orochi was random without nay foreshadowing.

4. Again just your opinion some people like it, how is it forced? With so many characters and the lack of screentime it´s hard to develop them all to that extent to begin with. Where would you have put her character arc?

5. Again that´s the nature of the weapon and a problem that occurs through forcing symbolism into the manga.

Personally I found Orochimaru´s and Itachis encounter a to be a way better depiction of the Susano vs Yamato no Orochi fight, because it was depicted more clearly and the serpent theme was introduced immediately after his introduction.

I hope he's actually dead this time. Ready to see Ichigo again since he's the main character unless Trollmaster Kubo forgot that. >.>

So......that's it? Not as interesting as I would thought before.

...but that power would help when fighting against Yhwach later.

Um I think this is one of those "Last resorts" where it can only be used once or has a very long cooldown

Nah, it can be used more often without long cooldown. The problem of this weapon are:

- it kills every male that wielder love (or something like this)

- Bach sees the future

- Bach can do tricks

I bet that Bach (or his people):

- would kill a wielder before the wielder kills bach

- let the wielder kill him => someone destroys/seals the weapon => someone revive Bach

So it's useless... But I guess they will try and they will sacrifice Kyouraku.... and I was so hyped to see his Bankai.

Eh? The front and bottom is much better.

He's not into her face

I see what you did here, literal guys. Haha

This chapter was bad. I wonder why Kyouraku didn't let someone analyse that sword. I bet Mayuri would make copy of that sword without bad effects.

Oh yeah I actually forgot that Bach can see the future

The only way to counter that feat is Kyoka Suigetsu

They really need Aizen on the final battle

shocked at how many 4 or 5/ 5's there are, this was one of the worst chapters in bleach history and this fight will also go down as one of the worst.

As far as this chapter goes- it took f*cking 10 pages to get to where last week left of, and from their they literally just stand there for the rest of the chapter and watch as their stupid ass-pull weapon blows away a top tier villain. and if the fight ends like this, what happened to his regeneration?

I feel like I've been saying this mentally every chapter for a while now, but...

What the hell just happened
