Somehow I'm worried for what will happen to Kyoraku later on after he uses his bankai... Surely he won't die right?

Kyoraku's bankai certainly didn't disappoint. His shikai makes children's games real, and his bankai seems to make adult tragedies real. I wonder if someone's going to rush to him to prevent him from revealing the fourth and final act and fulfilling the suicide pact?

Somehow I have a feeling Kubo wants to have another Captain Commander, probably Retsu who will end up being alive after all - just for the sake of having a female CC.

That Bankai is quite the double edged sword. It does a lot of harm it it's wielder as well and might even kill him (well, losing means being killed anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter). Also, it's surprisingly dark for such a happy-go-lucky person.

Just the name of it suggest that it kills the opponent and the user, so RIP Captain Commander :'(

We have a glimpse at Shunsui's true personality now - a nihilistic, uncaring, dark individual who seems have lost all hope for the world: a lifeless abyss indeed.



Truly an impressive chapter, this Bankai could've most certainly posed a major risk on Aizen's well-being given its absurdly powerful abilities, at the risk of many others within FKT.



Prepare for a lot of flashbacks next chapter, however. I hope to see Starrk in Shunsui's consciousness, they're both more connected than I imagined. Shunsui didn't seem like a lonely type of person until this chapter came around.
