That Bankai is quite the double edged sword. It does a lot of harm it it's wielder as well and might even kill him (well, losing means being killed anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter). Also, it's surprisingly dark for such a happy-go-lucky person.

Just the name of it suggest that it kills the opponent and the user, so RIP Captain Commander :'(

We have a glimpse at Shunsui's true personality now - a nihilistic, uncaring, dark individual who seems have lost all hope for the world: a lifeless abyss indeed.

Truly an impressive chapter, this Bankai could've most certainly posed a major risk on Aizen's well-being given its absurdly powerful abilities, at the risk of many others within FKT.

Prepare for a lot of flashbacks next chapter, however. I hope to see Starrk in Shunsui's consciousness, they're both more connected than I imagined. Shunsui didn't seem like a lonely type of person until this chapter came around.

Just remember that Kyoraku still has the keys to unlocking Aizen as far as we know.

Everything, it seems even that he will die from his sentence before activating the bankai, to the point where he gets to finish off the enemy, and the names of these two chapters are suggestive

If next, starting with flashback, it's goodbye Shunsui

Provided some losses in this final battle, but did not expect that one of them would be the strongest capital (live)

I hope it really has 10 acts. If it does, I think this might surpass Yamamoto's zanka no tachi.

I thought classic Japanese theatre plays only had 5 Dans?

Remember when Bankais were a logical progression of the shikai? This one goes from games to mutual harm

From classic children games that were played in the old ages to classic theatre plays from the old ages. You don't see the link here?

You made a good point comparing Kyouraku with Stark, they really seems to be similiar after this chapter.
