Bleach at it worst is still better than Narutoe nonsense that has been going on since "Part II", when Kishimoto became complete misogynist in how he treats his female characters and turned the lead into despicable whiny brat obsessed with his abusive childhood friend
while i think bleach and naruto are no better than each other overall, bleach has lost everything it started as and could have been.
it treats its female characters no different than how naruto does. orihime has an op power, says she will use it in hueco mundo, and doesnt even get mentioned since.
yoruichi started off cool. now she is shit who got beat down by aizen trying to bring him into a fist fight.
soi fon...
unohana couldve been cool but that aint happenin.
there were some cool female villains but bleach has already been set up for 0 character development, again, not much different from naruto.
ichigo has even less of a goal than naruto had at this point
i continue reading because i'm still somewhat interested in seeing where the story goes and sticking with it to the end.
Kubo can keep trying to twist things with this character didnt really die or this one did but having done it so many times in such a short time span has completely destroyed any impact it may have had for me.
Is the zero squad really getting killed off? Maybe, maybe not. It doesn't really matter because they're not the main fight, and their characters won't be given any more attention or development afterwards. If not only because this is the final arc, but because that is the formula bleach has followed.
the few characters who did get "development" - chad's powers, has had no relation to anything since its reveal.
