It's hilarious how you're putting Naruto down and then praising Bleach which is complete and utter garbage in comparison.



If Bleach was to be as good as Naruto at its worst it would still be a vast improvement over how it is now.



Bleach at it worst is still better than Narutoe nonsense that has been going on since "Part II", when Kishimoto became complete misogynist in how he treats his female characters and turned the lead into despicable whiny brat obsessed with his abusive childhood friend(at least Ichigo's character growth and survivor' complex makes sense). And then it turned into Jesus Christ metaphor.

I dropped that shit since revival deus ex machina and I have not looked back ever since and happier for it.

Though I agree Naruto is anything but amazing, I must agree with Scabab that Bleach pales in comparison, which says a lot. Bleach is horrendously bad lately, and all I can hope is that the end is drawing near, because each week I'm annoyed by another bad chapter and the urge to drop it increases. But having stuck with it this long I might as well finish it eventually.

Maybe improve your reading comprehension and go re-read?  



It either kills you or weakens you to the point that you are unable to do anything - case in point how Ishida's mother died and why Ichigo's mother had no way to stand up for herself against grand fisher.

LOL No. Bleach is that terrible now that it makes the most boring and worst parts of Naruto look good. There is nothing except for maybe the artwork that is any good in Bleach now.



The fights are terrible, the fights involve fodder, it is laughably dragged out, it's not funny anymore, the characters that have been introduced suck, the character designs suck, there's next to no story anymore and Ichigo rarely even shows up in his own manga.



It is because of this why the sales have plummetted and will only continue to decline.



I'd take that crappy Lost Shinigami arc over this. It is unbelievable how bad it's got.



I loved Lost Shinigami arc - it was perfect midway point of self-reflection allowing Ichigo to process everything he went through and what it means for him and what makes him, him, as well as showcasing us why Ichigo behaves the way he does.  It was depth rarely shown in shonen manga.



AS for other complains - that's shonen genre. All opponents are always fodder for main cast and main cast rarely if ever looses. Its tradition that Dragon Ball popularized and that every shonen manga follows.

The thing is - the writer has to know how to handle that. And Bleach so far did a good job at that(unlike in HM where hollow fights had padding issues) - every fight was varied and the sternritters so far have been sufficiently creepy and distinct, providing for some badass and cool fight scenes. Actually allowing A WAR to feel like a war should feel (unlike in Narutoe).

jobbing the vizards is one thing but doing it to the zero squad after all the hype surrounding them would just be disappointing. hopefully ichibei doesn't get swept aside...
