Bleach Chapter 554 Discussion

The way Bach stated it it nearly looks like they stole the bankais of the captains not only to weaken them, but to let them focus their preparations for battle on this particular ability of the quincy and not preparing themselves for Quincy Volständig and their kind of kido.



It was a good chapter. Toshiro is wrecked like I expected. He won't fight anytime soon until Inoue or another healer make his way to him. Soi Fon will be the same. So now Komamura and Shinji have to beat that snotty little brat. It will be interesting to see how they will work it out. Neither of them is as fast as Ichigo in his bankai so they can't outrun her Blut-ability as he did against Kirge. Komamuras strength is mentionable, but even Ayon couldn't get through Blut Vene and he is just godlike.



Sudden call from Ichigo is surprising I was sure that it is way to early for him to enter the stage. Maybe he just calls to say that Rukia, Renji and Byakuya are on the way. Or maybe he can't lerft because the Zero Squad is interfering :D We'll see.

Err, no. Were you not aware of the Vollständig? It's like the Quincy's trump card. Shinigami have their Bankai, Arrancar have their Resurrección, Quincy have the Vollständig. Read back through Quilge Opie's fight. I mean, it even goes as far as back to Ishida's fight against Mayuri in the SS arc, only that he used an outdated version called Letz Stil which drained him of all his Quincy powers.



Well, yeah it is explained and all, but at this point, I really don't even care xP

Also, the manga is slow...

Makes me want to drop it (which I still propably won't; I've used too much time on it to quit now).

Oh yeah I forgot the Quincy had that Vollstandig skill , it will be great though to see the Quincy and Shinigami to fight on their full strength



Also I'm glad to see that Ichigo is back because I want to see him in action soon

Bleach makes much more sense than people give it credit for if you actually take the time to look back into the previous chapters to search for information (that is sometime told once and never mentioned again for hundreds of chapters).



To me Kubo is writing Bleach not for the people that read it weekly but rather write it with it's completion in mind. Once Bleach is done and all the volumes are in front of you it'll feel like a much better read than it was weekly.



I actually hadn't thought about it this way, but I have to agree It'd be more enjoyable that way :D

Yay Shinji's back! :3 The stern ritters are still powerful even without they Captains bankai's. :/ Can't wait to see the battle. c:

This chapter was pure shit, everything illogical in only few pages.

I enjoyed the scene of Shinji, for few second it reminds me the very good Bleach of more than 5 years ago.

Juhabach is pretty scary. While it seems like he foresaw this, it's like he welcomes the challenge, especially with dat face near the end.



I'm sad we didn't get to see the fight with Hitsugaya, nevertheless he looks fucked up and in comes Ichigo soon it appears, let's see that new Zanpakuto get to WORK.

I thought that the Bankai stealing was a factor that would actually matter in this war..Guess it's just an excuse to make the volstadig thing more badass <_<. Bah, waste of ideas from his part

I actually would have preferred the shinigami to go without bankai a little longer. Fights that are really bankai heavy are usually boring and repetitive. The best fights in bleach involve more sword play and actual fighting. This war just started and we already have characters going back and forth spamming their Utimate attacks(which are never as lethal as they look).

Not likely as Kubo stated the final arc would last longer than the Arrancar arc.

Where is Ichigo anyway? With Bleach's snail pace, covering stuff that happens in minutes by using dozens of chapters, it's easy to forget stuff.
