It was okay.

At least it's not gotten to as low as Naruto.

So, some part of the Hollow essence is lethal to Quincies... Misaka was saved when Ichgio's father gave up his powers to defend her soul but I agree with the majority here that there're just so many plotholes here.

I'm sure he's gonna explain Kirge's absorption of Aion sooner or later, Sternritter J felt kind of different from the rest of the Sternritters, he seemed more powerful (not counting Sternritter B, Jugram Haschwalth) and he seemed to know a lot about Ishida's strength for some reason.

But why did he keep such important information until now... and how the hell did Arrancar manage to become Quincies?

Fuck you, Kubo.

Ichigo isn't just a Quincy he is a hybrid between Quincy and Shinigami so it doesn't apply for him. How about thinking before writing?

@Nidhoenggr

They don't damage bankai but quincies

@Wonderweiss92

How do you know it doesn't apply for him? He is indeed hybrid but we don't really know how quincy, shinigami and hollow part of his soul works togheter.

Now I want to see Suì-Fēng with their "new" poison in her shikai form, not this wing thing around her body! Her speed+1 hit to kill VS tentacles = wonderful fight. Don't do bankai, please. :(

Now quincies suppose to fight in distant(using bows or similar weapons/powers).

the whole pill thing is kind of an ass pull but kisuke made sense of it all.

Not really. It was mention in the chapter when mother&father of Ichigo got connected that quincies & hollows are indeed "contradiction". I don't remember this chapter very well but I guess there is more.

And this chapter is great. First chapter for few weeks/months that give us something(informations). 5/5

great little explanation and all but its still pointless if we just return to the same old captains are now too powerful to be stopped until the big bad villain appears and needs Ichigo to stop him.

I mean Byakuya and Zaraki haven't even showed up yet.

I fear the Sternritter are gonna get walked over just like the Arrancar and Espada.Morcombe said:

Hmmm..By the way things are going, I wouldn't fully say quinces are going to be annihilated yet. For some reason it just seems like they were prepared for this to occur. Might just be me though.

You see, Kubo. When you don't focus on the fights, you can make an OK chapter.

I seriously have no idea why she should be any better now that she's got back her Bankai. It's not like she uses anything.

It's not her bankai. Even she managed to shoot him using her bankai, he would lose one tentacle or something like that so it won't be fatal.

With new poison(hollow) she can instantly kill him. Even if that doesn't work that fast, hollow part can weaken quincy, so Sui-Feng can hit the same spot 2nd time(using shikai) and finish him.

that quickly because of Hollow contact, it probably does and is poison, but not instantly kill them.

+1

And we must remember Vasto lorde or Arrancar are hollow as well. So "small hollow" is not dangerous, while Vasto lorde may kill in instant.

@up Very nice looking post! Learn from him/her people. ;)

It says it was poison, but it never said how quickly it would deteriorate  the soul. Keep in mind she was dying, these quincies merely lost the bankai, a power that was stolen, so they instantly lost it. There is rather a big difference between losing  a stolen power and not being hurt and actually dying.

She didn't even show any symptoms until the day after she was bitten and even then she was showing signs of a person undergoing the early stages of hollowfication, not corrosion. According to this weeks chapter that shouldn't have even been possible because the hollow's soul should have been eating away at hers rather then fusing with it.

After re-reading chp. 534 nothing about what was happening to her lines up with what they are saying now. Ryuken has no idea what's going on and was initially trying to hide the fact that she was bitten from the others. Katagiri says Misaki needs to be purified, not because she thought Misaki's life was in danger but because she was worried about "the quincy bloodline being tainted". And last but not least, Ryuken's mom's reaction to seeing Misaki's hollow hole and what looks to be a scar on her leg from a past hollow attack. His mom didn't seem to know much about the situation either even though she herself was wounded by a hollow.

None of the other quincies were concerned about the poisonous effects of hollow reiatsu that should have been destroying her. Rather they were more concerned with her giving birth to what i would assume would be a fullbringer and her transforming into a monster, which again according to this weeks chapter should not be possible.

I guess you can claim that White being an artificial hollow, for whatever reason, may not be poisonous to quincies like real hollows. HOWEVER, there is absolutely no reason why the Ishida clan would be ignorant to the fact that being exposed to hollow reiastu erases their very existence, especially sense they were one of the few remaining families to uphold all the past traditions.

Do we know how hollow "corrode" quincy's soul? My guess is the body is transforming as well. It is similar to hollowfication but "ending" differ = soul cease to exist. So there is no reason why it can start the same.

And this whole chapter(534) wasn't "big plot hole". I mean, there exist some purification so there must be more reasons than "we don't like hollows".

"Being tainted" could mean "weaker". Masaki can give birth to weak quincies, and those quincies will be even more weaker and weaker, and in the end someone will give birth to "death children".

Ichigo is still partially a Quincy.

And given that Kubo never fucking explains anything about the soul aging process or other integral parts of his race framework but instead just makes up random crap that tries to avoid the main issue we won't get a sufficient answer anyway.

Ichigo isn't just a Quincy he is a hybrid between Quincy and Shinigami so it doesn't apply for him. How about thinking before writing?

Because that's how genes work...

Btw, why are Hollows/arrancars trained to have Quincy powers in HM then?

Once you get a bit more into the whole Urahara explanation you realize this fucks up a whole lot about everything that has been previously stated in the manga.

But then again, this is Bleach: Kubo makes the plot up as he goes alogn with... whatever he think looks cool.

We just don't know how this whole poison thing will exactly affect someone like Ichigo, but since he has Hollow Powers it is clear that he won't suffer from it. Maybe because he had the Hollow inside of him the whole time or maybe there is another reason. But you just state that Kubo "fucks up" logic without having a decent fact or example.

The whole Ichigo thing should be clear now so if you want please tell me what this new explanation "fucks up" exactly?
