Love the artworjk in this chapter.

Kubo's use of shading (when he can be arsed) always gives such stark imagry that really leaves you with the desired impression.

Plus, I love how all this time the Captains hinted that they found Unohana scary and now that's being fleshed out why!

Nice colour page at the front too!

the drastic sudden change in Unohana's personality and look is just artistic expression of how badass Unohana is, its like Goku transforming to a Super Saiyan unleashing his full powers

seriously this is fiction work lol if you want real logical story then you should not be reading fiction at all

So as long as it's a work of fiction, anything goes. Makes perfect sence.

Lol, right now Unohana doesn't look that graceful anymore instead she look more vicious than Kenpachi.

Seriously, Kubo writes some of the most badass women characters in shonen genre, which is somewhat refreshing compared to an outright misogyny of kishi and oda.

So what do you think about Zaraki's little pink haired girlfriend to actually be some super strong shinigami that for one reason or the other ended up being as Nel (that green haired arrancar woman)

Who would ever thought Unohana had such a legendary background history?

Not only that, was Unohana the one who Zaraki defeated in order to become the Captain and named Kenpachi? But it was said he was killed, in front of every member of the 11th Division.Unohana is the 1st Kenpachi, Zaraki is the 10th or 11th, Zaraki defeated the previous Kenpachi, the 9th or 10th.

Aight, thanks for clearing that up. So Kenpachi fought Unohana somewhere before that, I guess..
