Pretty okay chapter. It had a few good moments, but nothing really great.

You do not send your most valuable medics in the middle of friggin battle.

Yes, you do, maybe not "the most valuable" but at least some amount of them.

Medics stay hidden - fight ends - medics can heal.

Only with the assumption that attackers would go away, because... umm, plot says so. It was actually pretty stupid of the Stern Ritters NOT to even try attacking the medics who were gathered all in one place, especially, since they seem to know the SS logistically(sorry, don't know if that's the right word).

Medics move out during the fight - get killed - WHO HEALS THEN?

Nobody says to send them all. To me it's better than - everybody get killed - who's to heal then? Did they know that SR will retreat? When they declared this war they said they wiill destroy SS. Sometimes fatal wounds can only be trated in the very narrow amount of time - by the medics in the battlefield. But yeah, right, I guess I have to remeber that this is Bleach and people are dying dozens of chapters(Byakuya) and still they somehow make it.

So a few chapters ago everyone was saying "Oh noes, Byakuya is dead.  That's awesome.  They finally killed out an important character."  And now he's not.



Other than that, pretty straight forward transition "after the fight" chapter.

Byakuya not dying after all of that is such a cop out, I'm actually pissed he didn't die. At least the captain Commander is truly dead, but still this chapter was annoying. I like the story slowed down some to allow the characters to recuperate, but there are so many unanswered questions. What's going to happen to the characters that lost their bankais?

we have yet to know the process of selecting a captain commander though so lets see, is Kyouraku's power level thesame as Yamamoto though?







Doubt it. He's likely to be much inferior to Yamamoto. Recall that he needed Ukitake to just stalemate Yamamoto in the SS arc. He's probably the second strongest Captain in the SS after Yamamoto though.

Why are people so obsessed with the idea that people must die, okay things were pointing towards his death, but you don't know whether Byakuya dying would move the story along better than him still being alive, it's not like he's magically okay again, it was mentioned he probably can no longer be captain.



Do you read Bleach for the story or just to see people getting killed...
