Hi all, newbie/first post here, great reading this thread. Sorry it’s a long one as there are so many opinions here and I wanted to touch upon some of them.

First of all Mr Bach (as I like to call him) has to be a full Quincy. This fits the story of revenge/wanting to destroy SS/hate of being defeated in the last war, which is proven with his past relationship/conversations with the captain commander. Being an ex-Shinigami will make the plot way too stupid and too much like the fullbring Arc. Quincy vs. Shinigami/past/answers is the focus here.

As someone has mentioned the Quincy’s are like a cult/a religious group who believe they have some sort of divine right to vanquish evil. Mr Bach being a king/ 'cult’ leader gives him the position to call Ichigo ‘son’ like a priest would do. There may be some sort of blood relation from his mother’s side. But I do not think this is the case. If there was a blood relation, like the Vizards you would approach and try to get Ichigo “a special war potential” on your side as your Son or Grandson how he tired with Azien. True there was some sort of re-education that Bach wanted to do to Ichigo.

With the revelation of his mother most likely being a Quincy, this leads to Ichigo being Part Quincy/human and Shinigami/human and that’s it. It’s obvious from his family/sisters/mother/father/events and Ichigo predominately being a Shingami that Isshin is his father. But the reason why I say Shinigami/human is because ichigo must have been born a human. Isshin must have been a full human as we know he didn’t have his powers (return) for a while and this is the really interesting part. It can become a story of love like Romeo (Isshin) and Juliet (Ichy’s Mother). Did Isshin/mother give up their powers and get banished to earth? Was there some sort of fight where Isshin when into FGT mode?

This is where the born in darkness comes along. It may just mean just unaware of roots or hidden/away from the Quincy/Shinigami world. Or in a time of hardship/wars/fights for Quincy’s and Shinigami’s.

Going back to Ichigo, there are many concerns that he is a mix of everything and has everything and this worry comes from the Fullbring arch where Ichigo dramatically changed and everyone wanted the samurai badass look and swords fights back.

If he was born part Quincy/human and Shinigami/human, he was still just a human with genes of Quincy/Shinigami somewhere inside him. He was made a Shinigami substitute as we all know through Rukia and this must have awaken his Shinigami roots/side/talent. What is strange no one in SS has mentioned Isshin and Ichigo does not ask about it…

His hollow side only came about from having his soul chain broken/losing his powers and in him regaining them he nearly became a hollow and created a hollow part insdie him, like Vizards.

Full bring power occurs when a mother with an unborn baby is attacked by a hollow. I am guessing there is some kind of Hollow Reatsu is absorbed (this is one of the main differences  with Quincy’s) and though an object of emotion/ valued possession that power is realised. Extreme fitness/strength is also required.

Yes Ichigo has gone on a journey and he has become a bit of a freak but it all makes sense. if we can believe or follow this whole story why can he not be part Quincy or awaken in dormant powers/genes.

Wait, what? Former soul king? The problem is, JB was in war with the shinigamis a thousand year ago. I don't think he would be a king after that.

yes he was in the war but whose to say he wasn't the king before the war took place.

It was okay. As vague as the manga usually is. The manga goes 3x slower than the anime would. I read the manga wondering why the heck the anime ever ended in the first place. I love bleach but if this doesn't speed up it's going to get dropped. I can't sit around here twiddling my thumbs every week.

"My son.."  .... what the fuck? If Ichigo turns out to be his son, I lost all hope for Bleach.

I also call bullshit that why does Ichigo gets everything? Firstly, he has Shinigami powers, secondly he has Hollow Transformation, thirdly, Fullbring, now Quincy? I call OP Hax.

But the good thing is, that they left quite a nice cliffhanger, I wonder what he meant of the last speech bubble, and who is Ichigo's mother, possibly a Quincy.

I'm confused. You consider FGT as Quincy or as Shinigami powers? You say that FGT might be ichigo's Volsatdig but on the other hand you say that it is pure Shinigami !?

I think it's the latter.

Source of first FGT was Ichigo Shinigami side. Now with some training of his Quincy powers he will be able to use FGT form as his Vollstanding. FGT on demand and without the risk of loosing his powers afterwards would make Ichigo pretty strong.

Will Ichigo revert back to his Shikai or will his Bankai become the new stage 0 power?

You people have some crazy ideas about Ichigo being living Quincy medalion and having hyper absorbing powers. Would be even more crazy if Ichigo absorbed Hougyoku power to weaken Aizen and let him be sealed.

If Ichigo was SternRitter and his letter was A (absorption) what name would he have?

Hope next week can come faster and that Kubo will start moving plot forward and not just create more questions.

In the fullbring arc we saw Chad go through a brutal training session in order to grow stronger and possibly gain a new level of power

wait what? what training did chad go through?

I forgot that as well. Honestly, now that kizu has mentioned it I only have the impression that it did happen but I don't remember a single panel/quote from Chad saying I'm training with the Xcutions

Yeah, he did train but he always trained alone. They set up his own room but everything else is off screen. All we can really assume is he got stronger, but we never really get to see that in the Fullbring arc since the whole mind-fuck screwed with him and Orihime's heads, but no we don't actually "see" Chad go through some brutal training. We just know that he did training off-screen.

Depends on what you think it means to train with Xcution, I mean they set him up a game training room but he did all his training alone. So in a way he did get help from Xcution for a suitable environment to get stronger, but everything else was all up to Chad.

Same with Inoue - Ginjou made sure to interrupt her when she was about to do some new technique (ala the second try after her reflecto-shield). Kubo seems to be saving up what they learned for the final war, imo.

I hope Ichigo'll go and talk with Aizen, and he tells him about Isshin&Masaki.

I would be very much amused on if Ichigo decided to free Aizen along the way.

^Ishida WILL play a big role. On the coloured pages at the begining of the arc he was the central figure. This arc will be huge so don't be hasty to say that. ;) I would like to believe that but i don't think it's going to happen as it should. Orihime and Chad got the same hype in the arrancar and fullbring arc respectively but in the end neither of them got much screen time or character development. It seems like whenever one of ichigo's friends is about to play a bigger part in the manga ichigo steals their spot light and they are forgotten again.

Ishida will play a big role.

Pretty much half the chapters of this arc were all about "awww Ishida did not use his full potential, hype hype hype hype". Thats the problem... he hypes up the characters but we never get to see them in action. In the fullbring arc we saw Chad go through a brutal training session in order to grow stronger and possibly gain a new level of power. In the end ichigo is the one who gets all the power ups and development while chad is out cold on the sidelines. The whole arc centered around the nature of fullbring and the one main character, who turned out to be a fullbringer from the start, had virtually no role in the plot. He also learns nothing about himself nor does he make better use of his power after he learns the nature of his abilities.

I really want ishida to play a bigger roll in the story but from how things have gone in the past he will most likely get overshadowed by ichigo. Especially if ichigo learns to use the same abilities as him...

Chad never got hyped. We know he has additional forms that Kubo might be saving for possible three-way war Between RG, VR and Ichigo's side(for the same reason we did not learn captain bankais yet and RG is coming already)

Ishida was plain stated by Kirge to be way more powerful than him, implying that Ishida's family(and to extent Ichigo's if Ryuuken is Masaki's brother and Bach is his grandpa from mother's side) is special case in quincy powerlevels. So by idea, implication is that Ishida should be able to be as powerful as Ichigo.

Chad never got that level of hype.
