nothing really happened in this chapter. Kenpachi is a bad ass as usual

Disturbing signature with naruto and sasuke ^ :@

Someone here pointed out why Aizen didn't want to fight Kenpachi. It might have something to do with the way Kenpachi used to fight back then. Fighting was fun for him and he was likely to get hit allot or cut many times as seen with Nnoitra. This could end up in dispelling Kyoka Suigetsu on Kenpachi and left Aizen open for counter attack. Even Hougyoku Aizen could loose to him if the orb rejected him during a fight like it happened with Ichigo.

Why did Byakuya die to a single ST? He lost his clear and composed mind after seeing rotting Rukia. If Ichigo never came to SS to save Rukia something tells me that Buyakuya would kill himself sooner or later or became too reckless and got himself killed.

Kenpachi changed. He no longer wants to take hits to enjoy the fight. He kills all the weak he fights. Kenpachi is happy only when he has to fight at peak of his power. It might end badly for him but at least he should not have any regrets ^_^

Looks like you're like the only one who's taking things too seriously, I'm pretty sure almost everyone liked that Kenpachi part (check the comments here) Why can't you just enjoy what you read simply? Seriously whenever I see your avatar and name I realize I'm gonna read a bunch of non-sense made by a hater who comments and reads it only to bash it. Oh and btw your profile picture's joke is getting old, check this one it's way better and funnier:

After I read your non-sense I wonder If you had read 2-3 chapters about Kenpachi's fights, would you stop complaining? I don't think so. There are lots of other characters to focus on other than Kenpachi.

Really man? I voice my two cents about the direction of this manga, you come here making a post only about me and I'm the one that's taking things seriously? Man, this isn't certainly the first time somebody here complains about me, I'm starting to think you Bleach fanboys are serious stalkers. Oh, and btw, that Xzibit joke is at least 3 years older than the one from my forum avatar and it was ripped off from the avatar on my profile. But if you say that's tired I guess I could change to another old and hackneyed meme, champ.

And to answer your question, I would be happy if I had my 2-3 chapters with Kenpachi fighting. I'd be estactic if Kubo made such a move. But that's absolutely not the point I was trying to make. In this chapter, Kubo violated the cardinal rule of storytelling, "show don't tell". Meaning a few lines describing how something went isn't as good as showing how those events happened using the POV character describing things first hand.

Now, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking that the fight wasn't important at all because it was about unimportant characters going against a main one, and thus it wasn't worth showing. And I'd say you're right in a way, but that reasoning implies 2 things.

1. Kubo Tite, the author whose magnum opus has been described as "Dragonball Z with swords", knows about the subtleties and intricacies of storytelling.

2. Kenpachi, one of Ichigo's rivals and a diamond point of Soul Society, isn't a character important enough to get at least half a chapter of fight, even with unimportant characters, when Ichigo spent at least five in the same situation as Zaraki.

Maybe in Kubo's opinion Zaraki isn't important enough to even get half a chapter of fight, but it's since his appearance that he's regarded as a pretty important character, so, even if Kubo doesn't like him or he wants to write about other characters, he should at least find some time to show what Kenpachi is doing, at least for his many fans, and half a chapter isn't really that much time for a long running manga.

So, how is this "bunch of nonsense by a hater"? Is this good enough for you to pay attention, or you're going to say "oh those haters like to whine just about, like everything!" like you guys usually do?

1- Ichigo didn't have anything on his face, in chapter 500 he didn't also, there's also a weird light, that's white so it's not Getsuga Tenshou.

2- There's blood coming out from somewhere.

3- Ichigo has a weird mark on his face on the left side, in addition to blood.

...Did no one notice on page 10, when Ichigo yells: "I will protect you!" you can clearly see the outlined mark on the left side of his face that when first glance looks like blood, but actually it's like the markings on his hollow mask. Not only that, but on the square when he says: "I will..." you can see the mark starting to outline. Ichigo's gonna go hollow!

He can't.

Also there's no sign of hollow mask anywhere, Ichigo's face is covered in blood and he's hitting with all his strengh on a white barrier/barrier of light.

If you look on page 9 you obviously see that it's part of his dark getsuga tenshou's blast hitting on the barrier with bit of both flying away because of the pressure.I think what I mentioned above is what flameclaw100 meant, there's something going on with Ichigo right now, but I don't think he's turning into a hollow, he might get some kind of a power-up for his shinigami form though.

Also, after re-reading the last 14 or so chapters, until the page in question popped up, all ichigo had on his face was what appeared to be dirt/dried blood/standard manga battle marks.  So at this point, as I previously stated, we'll have to wait and see.  Because we all know Kubo likes to fuck logic here and there.
