so does stealing bankai remind you of an arc before....anyways i guess that what they said about having many minions maybe they are able to transfer bankai power to weak hollow to turn the into arrancar.....

honestly all these fucking haters of bleach he is bringing everything into one arc all the things he has done have made sense he killed off that vc for 2 reasons someone needed to die in bleach 2 it had to be someone important yet at the same time not so much. i mean every manga writes like this

katekyo lets bring in vindiche randomly

naruto why dont we just fuck it give the glasses guy fucking dragon powers

one piece lets just throw out all logic and make the readers feel like they are on an acid trip for a whole arc.

not only bleach is there random shit but of the big three bleach is hated on the most. Whoa Whoa there!!! Don't go dragging One Piece into this now... Just so you know, I was a big fan of all of these manga during their glory days, but when you compare Bleach/Naruto from their glory days to the Bleach/Naruto of this week, I just can't help but be disappointed... (oh, I just dragged Naruto into this.. P: )

One Piece, on the other hand (IMHO) Has managed to stay awesome 660+ chapters in while staying consistent in terms of character development and fighting ability. If you can get OP logic, it's actually pretty logical... the acid trip part... well... that's not a bad thing is it? :D And when Oda did kill off a character, damn, did he do a job of that, just... damn... I didn't think manga could make me cry like that... ya hear?!?? I won't spoil anything for you poor shmucks who aren't reading it (yet) but if you're going to compare Bleach and One Piece as two big-shot long-running shounen-manga, it should be as "ur doing it wrong" and "my body is ready"

nothing really special, just an explanation of what's going to happen, i think the next 2 chapters are going to be similar with this and so we will be able to get more of this new enemy...

I'm guessing that Sasakibe's bankai was captured, the reason to why he was killed so easily. So Ichigo's bankai wasn't supposed to be simply destroyed...

Also... Halibel is the damsel in distress now?

I´m amazed that a simple shounen like Bleach can create such fierce discussions.

Its also only logical to assume that a vice=-captain of damn captain commander who for some reason wears captain haori too, is a stronger person than other vice-captains.

Not necessarily. Captain commander is the most important character of Gotei 13 so it is important for him to have someone on his side whom he trusts and respects rather than someone very strong.

We knew about that since MASKED databook which outright stated that Sasakibe is captain-class shinigami. Thats two years ago.

A series shouldn't rely on additional details in side publicatios. He should've made it clear in the manga as well if it's that important apparently it is because last two chapter treated the issue.

You're right. It did have to be someone important. However, whatever impact Sasakibe's death could have had is completely gone because he's only important to the characters. All that we, as readers, have known about him until know was that he was Yamamoto's lieutenant and he got beat by Ichigo. Because we don't know what he can do and, until now, had no reason to believe he was anything more than just your typical scrub Shinigami. This whole thing about "Oh, he had Bankai, but he just never used it. This is serious," falls flat because while this is what we're told, we see none of it, so it's all just a bunch of power hype. What's worse is, this has the potential to be a good reveal of Sasakibe's character if Yamamoto had been the one killed and he had to take over, but as it is, it's just development that doesn't matter anymore.

The Vindice were introduced WAY back when the series first got serious with Rokudo, and there have been hints and clues here and there that they would serve a bigger purpose in the story. They didn't just appear randomly.

You mind explaining this bit for me? While things in the One Piece world are definitely strange, it doesn't completely throw logic out the window and the arcs don't feel like "an acid trip". More over, things do not get pulled out of nowhere for pure shock value and what does happen follows a logical flow.

Bleach is hated on the most because it is of genuinely lower quality. While I can't say I'm caught up with Naruto, friends who do enjoy it have mentioned something that both Naruto and One Piece have that Bleach doesn't. Quite simply, story. There is an ongoing storyline with both Naruto and One Piece, while there isn't one in Bleach, which makes all the difference for me. You can actually care about the achievements Naruto and the Straw Hats achieve because it's another step towards the end goal. Bleach follows a purely arc driven story, just moving from one enemy to the next, so that end goal isn't there and I can't bring myself to actually care what Ichigo does knowing it won't matter come next arc.

Just wanted to mention how great of a point this is.

In any case, the power meter in Bleach can increase and decrease by 9000% over the course of two chapters so it's not worth it keeping a track of it. Zaraki Kenpachi got cut by Ichigo before he even got a bankai (which I find to be a much more annoying power inconsistency, don't care if Zaraki has been training with Yamamoto since then...)

totally agree. Zaraki's power level seems to fluctuate with every fight he's in.
