Well, no too bad chapter, let's see what Byakuya will do and what's happening with Rukia.

Indeed. Understanding does not mean being able to relate, but to know why. Yukio became isolated because his parents where the type that would only love a child that would be what they wanted, and Riruka wanted to keep everything see loved to herself, keeping them away from others. They were "selfish" and "bratty" because that's how they grew up as, and there are a lot of children like that. The only difference is that they had powers, while no one (for all that we know) in our world have those.

Yukio didn't even try to talk to his parents, he just completely shut them out.

Riruka is selfish and bratty, but she took it to the extreme when she kidnapped and help a guy hostage inside her box, it's completely different than just stealing dolls or other things.

Having power doesn't automatically mess you up, these people were already messed up to begin with.

But you're right about Griko. It's hard to understand why the thought "kill my wife" crossed his mind. Either he never thought it would work, or he actually had a very bad relationship with her that would provoke such a thought. It's only known that he regretted it, only to have his eye blown out because of it. (Also, has anybody thought that Griko's name has the 'ko' in the end, which is used for a girl's name?)

We know nothing of his wife, all we're shown is that he spontaneously killed her for no good reason, to test his powers out.

And yes, it would be unfair to put Jackie in the category of being horrible, since what happened to her was not her fault. The only question remain is who is so extreme to kill because somebody stole a pair of shiny boots. I guess it would be some criminal gang or the mafia who would do it.

Yeah, her dad screwed her family over.  They were killed because he did some illegal stuff on the black market.

Will you please beat it and leave it alone. I was not talking to you, so you have no reason to reply or anything to correct me by, since I was only stating what I thought. Don't you have anything else to do than argue with us? Your spam of annoying arguments does you no credit.

Those threads are as lively as ever :P

Of course FBs are more human. They are human to begin with :/ Obvious statement is obvious. Doesn't make them more likeable though. End of discussion.

Falling in love at age 7... anyway this chapter was actually not too bad.

It's nice to see that the Fullbringers are being understood, at least by some people.

Well, it's kind of hard to relate with a bunch of bratty, selfish sociopaths, but if you did, good for you.

Again, I wouldnt use the word "sociopaths", but yes "bratty, selfish" for Yukio.. Maybe Riruka? but at least she snapped out of it. I still cant understand why Giriko would want to TRY to kill his wife.. Did he hate her to the core or sth? If yes, then I understand. But this wasnt mentioned in the chapter. Most of you are right. If you were to argue that Riruka is to be 'pardoned' because she was '7', then Giriko has no excuse whatsoever. He was a fully grown man, capable of knowing exactly right from wrong. Yet he TRIED to kill his wife just to test his power. "Psychopath" and "Sociopath" dont really fit into this description of his behaviour. These are extreme cases (if you google their definition). The same logic as not all murders are mentally unsound. But yes, Giriko's story was a crazy act and he deserves to lose more than an eye.

As for Jackie, it wouldnt be fair to her.. To associate her with the rest.. Her story is quite sad indeed. Her life was turned upside down in 1 day.

However, IMO, she seems to be one of the nicest in the Xcution gang. The way she trained Ichigo and also, her fight with Renji. She sacrificed herself to save her enemy. That wont come easy if you had a childhood like hers.

Solid flashback chapter. Plus the fact that he got everyone in in ONE CHAPTER - pretty sweet. This actually made me like the Fullbringers more, because up to this point we didn't know anything about them, and now they really come across as human, and by that I mean flawed beings with a different outlook than the shinigami.

Bring on the next one!!!

More human?  1 of them killed his wife for no good reason.

Yes. Thats exactly why they are more human tahn all other bleach characters. THEY ALL misused their power with their personal flaws.

What?! And how does that make him more human?! He killed his wife in cold blood!! Are you implying that murder is a humane act?!

I hope you're kidding.

Yes, FB's misused their powers, they all had those awesome powers, but just had no idea how to use them to fit into the world they lived in, leading to isolation. thats exactly WHY they hate shinigami.

FBs are arrogant, misused their powers and KNOW it. Shinigami are arrogant, misuse their power and try to hypocritically justify it.

And its honor that makes shinigami hold themselves above the other souls and to live nobly and perfectly in seireitei while infinity of souls in SS starve and suffer? You can't just apply black and white morality to Bleach. This manga has been firmly rooted in Gray/Gray and Gray/Black since SS days.

The problem here isn't power and the way someone uses it, it's the complete lack of empathy of most FBs. Just because you don't know how to use abilities, it doesn't mean you have the right to kill pepole, you have morality and society rules that forbid you to do so. Yet most Fullbringers decided to reject all of those for their own petty and insane beliefs, and they grew up as assasins and social recluses.

I agree that the way SS used its power to establish what is basically a feudal militar dictatorship, but FBs don't really stand on moral high ground either.

Wooo!

Riruka was an early bloomer, kidnapping herself a man at age 7! I bet he wasnt expecting that!

I guess she never got rid of that built up passion, and so grabbed Rukia's boob to try to win a fight.

Might work!
