^but tsukishima said the blades never enter that range period so he shouldnt be able to defend either and they seem to be portraying it that way currently. if he could defend in that range it wouldnt be that critical of a weakness.

Because there's a shitload of material to go through?

Aizen's connection to Kurosaki family.

Isshin's past.

Soul King as an Enemy and the truth behind the soul king that made Aizen so desperate to oppose him any means necessary. More so the truth that should have made Urahara do the same.

What Mayuri found in HM.

Zeroth Squad and the shady "promotions" into it.

Royal Guard.

The secret and reason behind -getsu swords.

Thats just off the top of my mind, I am sure there's more.

And instead of using any 1 of these plot points (which would have been more important and much more interesting than this arc), Kubo decides to waste time on this Fullbring nonsense.

It takes time.

Tsuki's ability takes some time to work. Remember CHad and Inoue? Most likely thats all we will see of their fight.

Not for Ginjou, within a few moments of being cut, he reverted back to his old self.

Tsukishima's ability doesn't kick in instantly, skippy.

Basically I expect we won't see how the fight goes and then as Yukio is forced to disable the rooms, it appears byakuya has won.

Then byakuya and Ishida attack their allies and tsuki smirks.

Oh my word! I didn't think Rukia could get any cuter.

I WAS WRONG!

I thought Byakuya was in a bit of trouble before, but this chapter he really does look properly f*cked. But I've learned that Kubo loves to stick Byakuya in impossible situations to make him look extra clever and ruthless. So I have enough confidence in his character to believe that he's gonna come through this with flying colors while mentally breaking Tsukishima along the way.

As for Rukia... gawddammit. It's rare she doesn't get the princess treatment or get some obscure enemy. I did like that battle she had against her own zanpakuto, but that wasn't in the manga and the fight against the arrancar with the dear head was pretty good, but not spectacular. Now she has to fight the weird chick with her cuteness complex. Ugh! Why does one of my favorite female shounen characters have to get this treatment?
