i think this time he got angry seeing at what  he did to chachamaru....probably cause he knows it would have been much worse had he been the other kids. he also has no more time left can no longer idle by.

I feel to intimidated to deal with dragonball...or i just don't care. Sort of like the argument that has taken hold of this forum.

I didn't get that excited this chapter because i always assumed that the sudden clones were just weakling anyways. I'd also have to agree that there will be an issue with distinguishing Fate from their level.

Some thing do ressemble DB, some don't.

I agree with blopa on this one, you are pushing it a little too much.

Might as well say it is a rip off of bleach since it has swordfight.

Since when did I say it was a rip off? I was drawing similarities. Learn the difference.

"There's no need for you to keep being a doll of God" says the man after cutting his enemy in half. Fast paced action with Negi being even more of a badass than usual, and Tertium fight with the Negi-like Averruncus comes up next.

No mater how you look at it, the Negi vs. Fate battle will not take place as things are right now. I don't even think Fate, in his current condition, can beat the recently awakened Quintum, who did not get blasted by a satelite laser.

Also, an observation: This arc seems to be borrowing a lot from Dragon Ball, most notably the Andriod and Cell Games arcs (assuming that Negi plays both the roles of Goku and Gohan). One can assume that the underlings encountered (Zazie's sister, Homura, Koyomi, Shirabe, Tamaki, Tsukoyomi) are the androids. Tertium can be considered Cell. Sextum, Quintum and Quartum could, in a way, be considered the Cell Jr.

Negi (Goku) fought to a standstill until he was no longer able to battle, when he then  decided to call upon his secret weapon (Gohan). Negi (Gohan) wasn't able to get anywhere with his power and he seemed defeated, with Sextum, Quintum and Quartum (Cell Jr.) then being released to kill his allies. As this is happening Negi (Gohan) looks in upon himself and comes to a realisation which unlocks his true potential, allowing him to beat the previously super powerful Dolls (Cell Jr.) with little to no effort being involved.

Uhh... not really. If it makes you feel better, shonen manga tend to look a lot like each other; but unless I use a lot of imagination, I don't really see the resemblance.

I want one of the students to die. =[

That's not likely to happen, since at the end of the day this will still remain an action/comedy/ecchi manga. I don't think Akamatsu will pull a CLAMP on this work.

Wait... what? It seems I didn't quite get it in the last chapter, but did the "original" fate turned traitor? Or at least, did he attack one of the other Fates? :o wtf?!

It was quite easy to understand tough.

Tertium (Fate), the averruncus of earth, was fighting Negi's group and was defeated and when the group was fleeing the battlefield the other averruncus came up.

Sextum, the averruncus of water,  was dealing with the group that was stationed where Dynamis was

Quintum, the averruncus of wind, was dealing with the group that defeated Fate

Quartum, the averruncus of fire, was dealing with the escape route group.

Negi awakened, owned Sextum in one blow and went to save the escape route group that is stationned lower in the tower.

At the same time Fate also came back to his sense and decided to side with Negi's group for now and is actually fighting Quintum.

Fate is obviously forcing himself, the blow lent by Chachamaru's artefact was no little.

Fate wish for a fair fight with Negi. Some people would say that he is betraying his side but it is not true. Fate is persuaded that his path is better than Negi's and he want to fight it out. He want to give his all and crush his hope, he is planning to win but he do not want to use cowardly trick to do so.

He'll prove to him fair and square that his idealist mind will only bring destruction to the world.  This is the whole realist vs idealist the usual shounen manga bring up, of course the idealist will most probably win, which means Negi.

Talking about Negi, he's starting to be a little broken but well I like it this way.
