That was both confusing and excited for the next chapter.

I thought it was Mana on the bed with Road with Neah looking down and Earl at the door.

Also did anyone else think its weird how Earl was looking at Mana and Neahs mother and saying it was all Mana's fault in a happy ton.

Uh...I just started started on the anime this month and have finished watching it like a week ago. Before that, I didn't know anything about D. Gray-man. Something about the story itself intrigued me. The characters? Not so much. But the somewhat obscure past and persona of Mana has recently caught my interest. English isn't my first language, so when I get a little perplexed about the explanation happening in the scanlations, I blame it on this disadvantage. However, I do also agree that it has something to do with the translations. Does someone own the actual manga here of the english trans? Is the translation better? Because I consider reading the manga from the very beginning up to the latest. The recent chapter also confused me...well a little. Not as confused as  you guys since I have only read the arc where the anime left off so reading it was like an entirely different story of its own. I guess, if I read the manga from the beginning, I will definitely understand more what the heck is going on, and how does this ties to that.

It surprises me reading every one's theories for this chapter, especially on the Earl being Mana. Did I read  that right? Gosh; I am so sorry. Lol. I honestly feel like Miranda. I am like, a newbie to the D. Gray-man universe. What initially caught my attention is the historical and mystic aspect of the story. The relationship of the Noah with the Innocence, etc.

Anyway, I might read everyone's theories concerning this Noah family affair. Ugh. Or maybe, someone can be so kind as to help me clear up things. Lol. Overall, pretty cool chapter. But we got some big reveal in the end. Too bad we have to wait for...who knows how long. Ugh. And as if waiting for HxH wasn't already enough.

@taydev ~ Well this is very distressing news! I really hope Hoshino gets better, she has been struggling with this illness for quite awhile. I'll be sure to definitely keep her in my prayers. Her DGM series is fascinating and the most interesting, twisted, yet confusing (lol) story I've had the pleasure of reading. But it also explains why there hasn't been a release in quite a bit, despite the monthly norm. Sadly, its disappointing to be unable to continue reading this awesome series. I was, and I'm pretty sure everyone else, was looking forward to reaching a conclusion to the story.

Definitely. Her life is what's most important here. I hope the indefinite hiatus doesn't trigger her into a depression, since she's been through depression before. :(

Hi Madd. Thanks for your response. I was hoping to find some people who wanted to have a discussion in here, but I guess people have forgotten so much it's hard for them to keep the story straight in their heads without rereading. IMO it's well worth the reread, but that's up to each individual to decide I guess.

@EVERYONE: I've seen the notice in Japanese. It's an indefinite hiatus (like the ones before), not a complete cancellation of the series. Don't fall for that cancellation hoax. They've said there will be a note about the return of the series in the margins of the magazine, once Hoshino is able to continue again.

Thanks for the info. I hope she gets well and returns to doing what she and her fans love (D. Gray-man).

By the time I finish the anime I'm reading the manga, is it good?

For me, this recent arc has been the most intriguing and exciting throughout the manga. After you finish the anime, please continue on to the manga and you will see! :)

Hey I heard a rumor that D. Grayman is being cancelled.  Is that true?  Does anyone know?  I've been googling it for a while and can't come up with solid proof; just more rumors.

It may just be an indefinite hiatus, but like you, I haven't found solid proof; only a scanned message in Jump SQ. No news from ANN or anything..... :/

Everyone's so confused with what's going on, but that's what I think makes it awesome! :D What's the fun in everything being straightforward? I love coming up with theories and seeing how close I am to the truth.

Anyway, I know it's been a really long time since 218 came out, but I still have a lot of hope for this series >.< I love this so much and I really need it to continue...I'm planning on getting all the books so that I can help support Hoshino-san as much as possible!

I just noticed that the Earl calls him 'Mana D. "Campbell"'.

Was Neah ever actually called 'Neah Walker'? Did Mana actually take Allen's last name instead of the other way around?

I'm not 100% on this but I'm pretty sure that "Walker" is neither Allen, Mana, nor Nea's last name.

Mana and Nea's real last names were Campbell, and then perhaps Mana changed his last name to Walker after Nea died and then Allen adopted Mana's new last name "Walker" when Mana adopted him.
