Why to say it to LINK if he is the 14th? it's doesn't make any sense.

LINK is probably just the 14th man who use the power of Zu Mei Chang.Yes, this one is genuinely confusing and it's not just the translations' fault this time (though a t/n or two could have certainly helped).

About chapter 213: I think Link is the 14th Zhu "Roushi" (老師). He's the 14th Master or Sage of "Zhu." Why that particular number, I don't know. Maybe it will be significant later. I will be checking on this chapter again at some point and maybe I'll update my post here if I do, but I think we can at least be clear on the fact he is NOT a Noah. ^_^

After this chapter I actually had a feeling that soon lots of questions might be answered. It sure was confusing, leaving you to have all kind of ideas of what's going on and who is who in the end. But it was some kind of a peak of the story. And damn, suddenly all the hiatus shit.... Why my favorite mangas goes through that kind of stuff, noooooooooo......Yeah, it's hard waiting but it'll continue eventually. I can't help taking it as a good sign that volume 24 is coming out in November, even if it's a chapter short. :)

OK so I was looking for more perspectives but everyone here's just confused. xD

I'll explain what I *think* I understand is going on. Not saying I'm definitely right but there's some stuff that has begun to make sense to me...

First though, some REPLIES (in spoiler):

I think Hoshino has forgotten about Lavi and Bookman. I seriously don't know how they're going to play into all this, but I have a feeling that Lavi is going to run away... and I also want to know where the heck Road is.I don't think she's forgotten them at all. On the contrary I think the flashback having Road and Bookman in it is going to become a very nice lead-in. Remember Bookman is being interrogated because Sherrill wants to know the nature of Road's relationship with the 14th.

Re Zone: I thought of Allen being a weird form of akuma as well. Kind of like in [i[Zone, but probably very different. I mean, in Zone, the concept of "akuma" didn't even make any sense! She must have changed it since then. Although I agree it's *very* possible Allen might have a portion of Mana's soul residing in him, I don't think they're the same person at all. I think it just might form a connection between Allen and the Earl (see below).Aikawa_Yuu_Ace said:
go home Earl, you're drunk.Hahahaha! So true. :'DTatarata said:
Hum, but who was the man inside the Earl's globe? Wasn't he Mana crying for Noa?Globe? You mean the hallucination of Mana crying over passed out/fainted/injured Nea?Mrameez said:
Wow, was confusing who is who now? lol, next chapter only in March it's sad? Still love it!!.March issue comes out in February. that issue will be delayed to mid-February though (due to holidays), instead of the beginning of the previous month as usual.MrsRoyMustang said:
Road where are you!!!LOL Yeah no kidding! xD

OK so it seems, as somebody mentioned early in the thread, the main point of this chapter is to begin to drive home:

Mana D. Campbell is the current era's host body for the Earl of the Millennium. But he's not been completely suppressed by the Earl's memories, and only now has the Earl begun to remember this. The Earl blames Mana's consciousness for not only messing with his "mission" but for turning the 14th/Nea "against" him. Allen may have messed both himself and the Earl up by calling Mana's "soul" back to make an akuma (hence the 14th calling them both "mad puppets" in chapter 198).

BTW I like the theory someone had from earlier about little Allen's parasitic innocence purifying the akuma form of Mana within him. I think Allen himself could have become an Alma-style akuma, but it didn't take. (It's also possible that without any of the Noahs' knowledge, Apocryphos "reprogrammed" Allen to be a good little exorcist.)

NOTE: I'm not explaining this in detail because I don't want to make it TL/DR. If you want me to explain/support something, then please reply and ask me! ;)

I can explain the above (or just list evidence). The only thing I don't understand is how we have an older past Allen and a younger present Allen.

I can read Japanese and the headline on the notice definitely says "notice of temporary non-appearance in print." (emphasis mine). Anyway here's further explanation from where I believe the English language incarnation of the cancellation rumour originated (I guess it wasn't intentional on that person's part, s/he just repeated info from someone in Vietnam or whatever): http://dgray-man101.deviantart.com/blog/

I think the thing that makes this really unclear is just how similar some characters look to other characters.  It's really hard for me to keep them all straight, especially with the changing hairstyles.

I think I need to re-read the whole thing like 5/6 times in order to fully comprehend what just happened.

I agree with this. I made a comment somewhere else about how I thought some of the characters are looking too similar and I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking that.

Yeah, I just registered to say this:

To the one who insists thatthe earl is mana let me say: i can't believe I did't see it sooner. As thanks, here's a page where it's clear mana looks identical to the earl: http://www.mangapanda.com/210-15226-15/dgray-man/chapter-135.html idk if you had it already but, oh well...
