Never expected this. If anyone dies I think it will be chrollo (although I think he is stronger) because the author has been setting up a gon vs hisoka fight from the first arc.

It's finally happening so hype togashi just set up for a death battle so i just hope that someone will actually die i mean i still love both hisoka and chrollo but if we didn't get an actuall battle to death between 2 major shonen vaillans in hxh which other manga could we get that from

I forgot Hisoka wanted a fight with Chrollo

I also expect a dream of Hisoka . Killing Hisoka at this point is impossible because of the Gon vs Hisoka final fight thing . Chrollo death is also improbable because it is out of the blue . Chrollo can be killed but after another arc where he actually participates because bringing him back after so long time just to kill him would be weird.

Also hope Hisoka will be in the Dark Continent Arc.

I don't think it's particularly confusing; just unexpected. I think the surprise cutaway to this event was probably the best way to do this - I don't see many ways Togashi could have incorporated the buildup of this event into the current situation with DC; it's the fallout of whatever transpires here that will have an impact on the story of DC.



Frankly, I think Hisoka is going to win. He'll be looking for a new object of entertainment afterwards, and sees DC as the way to alleviate his boredom. Of course, the spiders will be out for vengeance, and will pursue him; allowing for Kurapika to further pursue his own vengeance with all of those elements converging.



Of course, Togashi is also known for subverting expectations, so barring a shitty deus ex machina that allows them both to survive, maybe Togashi will simply retire both Chrollo and Hisoka's story by allowing a draw with their mutual deaths, or maybe chrollo even wins.



But damn do I like both characters - I haven't felt this suspenseful about a fictional deathmatch in a long time.

That came out of nowhere, interesting if their battle will be relevant to this arc.

Appreciate this chapter not being 5 pages novel =/

He can't use an ability if the former owner is dead

Wow, I thought it was fake for sure as it seemed really out of the blue for their fight to occur after the last chapter but damn... It's really happening it seems. Looking forward to see how this will tie in to the current events.

Btw apparently, this is the TOP 3 shocking moments Togashi's editor was talking about, I guess. We were supposed to get this chapter in the last run, thank god we didn't, ending on this before a hiatus is fucking cruel.
