Last couple of chapters have been quite boring and awful, so glad we're over with that.

Saying that, the transition between those chapters and this chapter is amazing, this felt like Gintama again.

Although I would have preferred to have no 'Utsuro' and Gintoki vs Takasugi being the final fight, at least we're learning more about Utsuro.

Finally more backstory about Oboro, how he was saved and taken into Naraku by Utsuro, and how he trained under him, he was so cute.

In present he takes on Takasugi 1v1 and looks like he takes him down by stabbing him right in the head with that dagger but he also suffered a neck cut. I'm guessing he'll survive due to immortality unless his head got cut off.

Great chapter much better then some of Kamui bullshit. pfft to each their own. Kamui's moments were one of the best foor me and his backstory along with his family was executed greatly. Personally I never cared about Oboro/Utsuro/Takasugi boringness.

Takasugi falling mkes me laugh lol how many times in a row..

This chapter was amazing. I don't understand how you could consider this boring.

Best chapter in a while along with the last chapter. idk, personally i see this chapter the same as many other chapters. The only thing worries about me in this chapter is Sadaharu and Umibozu and how they'll get out of this. lol

Please elaborate to me what do I have to understand about his mommy issues?

Really? His mommy issues? is that all your accusing him of?

Yeah kamui is a moma's boy, whats wrong with that? Whats wrong with loving ones parents in such a strong manner? And are we gonna forget that he was just a kid then?

Loving his mom dearly as he did made him weak, we all have our weaknesses, and just because his sister was mentally strong enough to be there for their mother doesn't mean he should too. People are different. Why cant you understand that? Maybe im not explaining it fully but if thats the reason why ur hating this chapter so much then you clearly don't understand the meaning of bonds between family members.

Its not that he loves his parents he's just obsessed with his mom. His reasons to kill Umi and Kagura are just retarded, he's just a little kid stuck in grown up body, a crybaby as Kagura calls him, he hasn't matured a day since then. He's just lucky he's Yato so he was gifted with strength and endurance otherwise with that behavior he'd be dead a long time ago. Umibozu is also at fault you know, as he was the most responsible of the family. Easy for you to judge. I don't really blame Kamui for hating his father for being not enough responsible as the dad (even Umibozu himself had admitted that). There's nothing wrong with him being too overprotective of his mom plus it is weird that she told Kamui she wanted to die, but told Kagura she'd want to go to Earth once she got better. Kamui never hated Kagura and there were moments he hesitated to hit her/or he never wanted to fight her to begin with. Sure, Kagura's not at fault Kamui was beating her up, but it was too painful for him to see his own failures through her as she resembles her with both her looks and voice. Basically Kamui blamed himself and his dad simultaneously for not having been able to save the family, because Umibozu didn't teach Kamui about the strength to protect the family.

P.S. Kamui has finally met his redemption thanks to Kagura, so he is aces. :D

Couldn't have said it better myself. :)

There is fault in both kamui and umibozu alike, its complicated, families are complicated, thats what gintama is trying to teach us here. Not everything is rainbows and sunshine. You cant hate kamui and not look at the whole situation he was put it. @warrior. You explained it best thanks for your appreciation. Just trying to state the obvious here. btw If Kamui was another Kagura, then the story would be uninteresting. LOL

Yeah thank Sorachi he did so we could finally move on to this Oboro greatness.

@railguncat but she didn't want to be saved, she came to Yato planet with Umi at her own will, knowing that she'll die. Maybe all this conflict is indeed Umi's mistake, he should have just talked to Kamui right at start about all of this instead of telling him to get stronger and protect his family when he knew there was no cure for their mom. on one hand Kouka wanted to die, but i don't blame Kamui for not having wanted her to, since he loved her so much (let's admit, she was indeed so beautiful, sweet and innocent lol), wanted to save her at any cost (there's nothing wrong with that) but it seemed that Kouka didn't really care about how her kids would feel when the time of her demise was gonna come. And all those death scenes of her were so painful to watch.

Funny that Umibozu knew she wouldn't have lived long after abandoning her own planet and that she could live only by staying in her altana world.

That is true, I agree there. In fact both parents seemed pretty selfish in this case.

Im getting tired of ppl calling the kamui arc bull shit :/ if you still ddnt understand anything from that then dont read it and dont bash it plz, sheesh.

Anyhow great chapter again, the gorilla's on a roll. Interesting and sad to c the oboro backstory. Many characters here seem to hav had some troubling childhoods. It looks like he was usturos 1st disciple before gintoki (it seems he has a thing for shiro chans hehehe).

I doubt takasugi's in any real danger, scene reminds me of the one in SA when oboro impaled him with his spear. Lets c what happens next.

He was Shouyou first disciple.

That ending was scary, Takasugi can't be dead!!
