I'll tell you why you're wrong. It just would not make sense if what you're saying was true. The rings were only at 1/7th of their power when they were unlocked. No matter what type of amplification it was, since the rings are in fact equal, it would not have been much at all. Now you must think about how fast, how easily, they defeated the Vongola group. This means that the Shimon group started off already stronger than the Vongola group at that point. Thus meaning they probably would have put up a fight, even won, without the rings unlocked.
Now, with this in mind. Since it can be determined that without the rings the Shimon group are more powerful than the Vongola group, where the HELL were they when Byakuran was taking over?
You just witnessed them utterly defeating Tsuna, whom could beat Byakuran. Yet, they are no where in sight during the future arc. You can't begin to tell me that with them being THAT strong, they couldn't do anything when Byakuran was taking over. Hell if that's the case, the Shimon family could have defeated Byakuran by themselves.
Rendering the future arc pointless.
Now does that make sense? Of course not. That's why all of that power they have during the fight MUST have come from the rings. 1/7th of the power at that. Again, making what the writer said at the beginning a complete contradiction of what he's doing now.
I want to see how this will be remedied. Breaking the rings was probably a good move on the writers part, since now using the excuse that "Oh the rings actually do have some more power that hasn't been unlocked" won't be used.
I think that building new rings, or going to the past seem pretty reasonable.
Hmm Well this is what I think, after reading your explanation. Have you ever thought that 10 years after, that these two families HAVE already been through this event already and have already made their peace with each other? helping each other out. And also that the Future Tsuna had ordered all of his guardians and him to DESTROY their rings? Maybe Shimon has done the same and was utterly terminated by Byakuran? Just a thought. And with the past Tenth family traveling to the future CHANGED the flow of the events?
AND I don't think that this "amplification" the Shimon gained would last that long. Don't you think that the primo of the Shimon family's spirit is also in their rings? Maybe they would nullify this amplification and once and for all clear out this feud between two families? I don't think that the first Shimon family would hold a grudge against the first Vongola family since they are equal in strength and stance. The only reason why they were looked down upon was because other families started to treat them like so and it was not the first's fault. The generations after the first that screwed everything up and I think that the first generation of both families will clear everything up.
