Genshiken Chapter 56 Discussion

Ohno is the president now.  With only three members + Susanna who came abroad, they are discussing how to recruit new members.  Ogiue said no Cosplays.



Ogiue lives with Sasahara now.  Sasahara is helping her with her script, and she didn't sleep for a night.



Susanna wearing not many cloths to recruit but no result, Ogiue is going to do what she can, which is good at drawing, so people got attracted.



Two new people (one male one female) came in.  Then another female, pretty like Saki, came in.



Manabu fell in love with the third one and pulled her hair.  She turns out to be a guy!  Ohno saw it and wanted him to cosplay.



Madarame was called to see the three new members but cannot see okama person.



When Saki came, she recognized that okama person immediately.

I don't think we need spoilers, since people will be coming in here expecting to talk about this chapter.  



Anyhow, I thought the chapter was hilarious.  I hadn't read Genshiken recently, but everything came back quickly enough.

Actually, they're both female.  I thought the same thing you did for a bit, but they're both girls.

Fun chapter. Though I share Ogiue's feelings and was hoping that there will be more guys to join.



Now that the fujoshis have taken over the club and there will be a sequel, I hope that the club's discussions won't revolve around yaoi and which character is 'top' or 'bottom'. What made the original series so appealing was that it explored all sides of otaku-ness, not just the BL stuff.

Aww just realized this extra chapter existed. I miss all the characters now. Makes me wanna rewatch/read it again. <3

Haha, I love Yoshitake. Her enthusiasm and expressions with that triangle mouth of hers are great. It was wonderful visiting the characters again after such a long time. Ah, just gotta love Genshiken.

Wow.   This just brought back so many happy memories.

Cute extra chapter, and here's hoping for a second season of the manga.



Not sure why, but the Bakemonogatari reference really had me in stitches. xD

I was thinking the same thing...It could be interesting to see the interactions of the main characters with this guy. Lots of fun. xDDDDD

Great chapter! I couldn't stop laughing at the parodies, and it was really nice seeing everyone again. Made me want to read Genshiken again. 5 out of 5 from me!

I also thought Yajima was a dude, but it does explain alot if it was a girl.
