Are you fucking kidding me....this, ladies and gentlemen, is why I never believed, not even for a damn second, that Makarov was really dead. The only way I would have believed that is if we saw his actual funeral, but what do you know, he's still alive. Unbelievable....I guess the Zeref-Mavis stuff was ok, but the Makarov thing really just left a sour taste in my mouth. In fact, not a single FT member died in this war right? I don't like to compare and mention other series, but at least in Naruto's final war arc, there were casualties on the good side. This though, is just a bunch of fake outs. "Oh someone died *few chapters later* SIKE, YOU THOUGHT."



Based on the title of next chapter, it seems like Natsu will "die" or come close to it, but he's the MC and there's no way Hiro will have the balls to kill him (which would effectively kill the NaLu ship as well). Keep wasting our time Hiro, you have 9 more chapters to do it until the very last page, the very last panel.

That, honestly, doesn't give people the reason to hate on Fairy Tail.

There are plenty of reasons to hate Fairy Tail overall. The cliche characters, nakama BS, constant asspulls and most recently the fake out deaths with this chapter being the most recent example.



Well personally, from my point of view, there's absolutely nothing wrong wit Fairy Tail. But I do see your point and I respect your opinion.

Jesus, Mavis went all Yandere on Zeref. I thought that was a super sweet and emotional moment. To be honest, this is the best solution on ending Zeref's character without killing Natsu. (Or maybe Natsu is dying anyways due to the next chapter's title) Though the problem that was presented and how it was resolved was mediocre at best.



It's really hard to think of other ways to write the end of Zeref properly. It was doomed to not live up to expectations from the start. I wish they never added the factor of "If Zeref dies, Natsu will die as well."  Hiro sorta wrote himself into a corner with this so I kinda expected something like this.



Anyways, I legitimately cried from laughter to see that Makarov is still alive.  I'm looking at the comments in Chapter 505 discussion. It's quite entertaining. Some were skeptical and others thought he was truly dead. Another said it was a trap for some reason.



Well, Makarov is alive and everyone in Fairy Tail is crying tears of joy. I wish I felt any feeling of happiness from this. With the fake outs with Gajeel and Juvia, the return of Makarov moment is sullied by poor writing. If we weren't so unsure if Makarov is dead or not, than his return (again) would actually be more meaningful since he's been in that state for a very very long time for us readers.



Now on to see whats up with Lucy and wait for the return of Acnologia.



On a side note: Who wants to bet that Makarov will finally die in the epilogue? I'm sure there will be a time skip where Fairy Tail couples finally get married and have kids. I can see them honoring Makarov's tombstone on Tenrou Island.



....and even if he does die in the epilogue...I fully expect him to still return from death.



Also. I'm still not ready to say good bye to this series despite how critical I've been about this series.

Actually felt bad seeing Mavis go, but then he just had to do that.

Why Hiro, JUST WHY would u bring the old man back!?!? Might as well bring back Zeref and Mavis, Lucy's parents and whoever else that died in the next chapters. Make it real happy ending.

Apart from a few moments I liked, everything post-Avatar arc has been absolute trash, nothing but disappointment and overall a letdown to a series I once used to enjoy.



I'm hating on it yes despite loving it at one point, but much like Mashima himself has said, I just want it to be over now. 9 chapters to go.
