It´s the worst War arc out of any Shounen.

People like to hate on Naruto´s war arc but that´s Shakespeare by comparision.



All Shounen have bad war arcs but FT surpasses Naruto´s flashbacks, Akame ga kills edgyness, Bleach´s everything and I already said it multiple times, One Piece will have a bad final war arc as well. It´s the inherent nature of the material that doesn´t translate into weekly Manga.

so next fight is going to be Gildartz vs August, the strongest mages of both countries, i hope this doesnt disapoint us, so finally we are gonna see Gildartz go all out against someone who's worth it



ITs still funny seeing Dimaria's reaction to Natsu LOL



so Gray made it to the kill and maybe planning on using Iced Shell on Zeref to prevent Natsu from dying along with him ? is that his way to redempt what he did to Natsu earlier ? he's just gonna make things worse lol

I really liked this chapter overall. Sure, it would have been nice to see how the Strauss family defeated their opponents a bit more in detail, but since those have been defeated before...still happy that they won, and that Lisanna finally has a victory under her belt. To be honest she and Elf must have improved a lot to defeat a guy that Erza was losing to 1v1.



Laxus seems headed for the Guild, and with that Zeref. So I don't think he is gonna help out Gildarts. That panel with Laxus carrying Makarov is kinda heartbreaking tho :<



That being said, loved August's way of showing up, quite epic. I am really looking forward to August vs Gildarts, tho I don't see Gildarts winning this 1v1. Hoping for Jellal to make a comeback, would probably make for the most badass team we have seen so far. I'm just kinda glad that Natsu is not taking part in this, there is no place for him in that fight anyway, those guys are way out of his league. And it also reduces the chances of weirdness happening.



Also on a sidenote, not sure if it is just me, but something is bugging me about that Gildarts closeup. He seems really confident, but somehow I can see something else in it, tho I can't really put my finger on it. Then again, that might be just me.



Not sure what I'm making of this Gray vs Zeref setup, let's just see what Gray's trump card is. Certainly wouldn't mind Laxus joining him though. I still believe that in terms of actual combat, Zeref is weaker than August, so this is more of a place to be for Gray and Natsu anyway.

Looking forward to next week :3

Shit was hella lit. However I was hoping that we would see Gray and Natsu meet again.

I hope Gray doesn't think Ice Shell is going to work on Zeref.

Gildarts is the GOAT

This chapter cranks up the HYPE! Gildarts about to kick some ass, and Gray confronting Zeref. Can't wait to see what comes next. :D

2/5. Wasn´t very offensive for a FT chapter, but it was borderline filler.

All it´s progression could have been told in two pages.



Bad chapter and I don´t give a fuck about August, because Hiro will ruin him.

There is no maybe, it will happen. Next chapter August gets defeated and 523 Zeref gets confronted.

The last few chapters were just disappointing.



Now what I am glad about is that we finally got some comfirmation about the enemies: August said it himself that he is the last one of Spriggan, so I'm guessing we won't see any more bullsh*t characters from the Spriggan coming back to fight the guild and such.



The only enemies left are August, Zeref, and Acknologia if he finally finds his way to the battlefield. Hopefully that's all left.
