Kinda a meh chapter and August finally in a fight on screen is happening. I'm tired of hearing how strong he is for almost 2 years. Now let's hope this fight is interesting because the entire Spriggan fighters were an absolute joke save for Irene...though she wasn't that much better.
3/5- I am intrigued on the confrontation with Zeref and Gray. I wonder where this will go.

Hm... okay even if he's got some sorta plan, in his state he won't be able to do much to him. Also seems like the arc is coming to an end, thank God.
It´s the worst War arc out of any Shounen.
People like to hate on Naruto´s war arc but that´s Shakespeare by comparision.
All Shounen have bad war arcs but FT surpasses Naruto´s flashbacks, Akame ga kills edgyness, Bleach´s everything and I already said it multiple times, One Piece will have a bad final war arc as well. It´s the inherent nature of the material that doesn´t translate into weekly Manga. I disagree with the Bleach part, they are pretty much on the same level, but I'm not here to talk about Bleach, don't care much about it, anyway, this is the worst arc for Fairy Tail, people dislike GMG, but this... oh this is just... I can't call it writing.

I honestly think, there is a way more potential for a good story in the Mythology of Fairy Tail, than it´s actual plot. Zeref´s backstory, could have made for a great arc, not a manga, but seeing what he was up too during the 400 years, would have been more interesting than this garbage.
How did he revive Natsu? It´d boil down to some magic Mumbo Jumbo, but it´d take that over the horseshit in this arc. What was the relationship between Zeref and Anna? What´s that fucking god that cursed him and Mavis?
There is a lot of room for fuckup and destroying the characters legacy by expanding on their backstories, like he did with Irene, therefore if you have no real ideas it´s better to keep the audience in the dark. But Hiro showing none of that, just proves that he actually has no idea how to write a good story.
Which mirrors his writing style as a whole.
He is great at setting up things, but has no clue how to wrap up his own stories conclusively. That´s why he always resorts to those cheap copouts, which proves his own claim of writing the story as it comes along. Which is the reason that allows him to put out two chapters on certain weeks.
If anyone hasn´t noticed yet. Whenever he puts out two chapters at least one lacks any substance. He can put them out like that because he has only to draw them and not think about the story at all. It´s just filler.

Now your're tellling me Gildarts is stronger than Crime Sorciere and can take August alone? Again, Hiro, throw Acknologia in the mix and make this a 3-way fight just like in GMG with Erza x Minerva x Kagura.

I wonder what Gray's trump card will be. Also it's nice to get 2 chapters next week, if it means we'll get closer to the ending even a little bit faster then I'm satisfied.

Jacob still kept his eyes closed lol. I laughed the moment I saw Brandish with the miniature DiMaria.
Gildartz VS August, the dream match begins. Something that concerns me though is August saying it's painful to lose a comrade earlier in the Arc yet was happy to sacrifice everyone.
I was a little surprised that Zeref was still in the guild, I thought he might have been moved elsewhere but anyway i wonder what plan Gray has for the next chapter or 2 since it's double chapters next time.
