Firstly doesn't Eileen's backstory create a plot hole. How was ezra able to get past Freed's spell in the Laxus arc from what I've seen she 400 year's old.



Secondly this was not a backstory this was victimisation. Simply done to make us feel sorry for Eileen and justify her being a bitch just like obito.



What's the point of giving her a backstory when she will either die in the next few chapters or become irrelevant after this arc.



Glad am not the only one who thinks this chapter is BS.



1.To be fair, technically she wasn´t born yet and in magical hybernation  for 400+ years, inside of Irene . Natsu & Gajeel most likely couldn´t pass the Runes because of theancient  Dragons inside of them, not because of the timetravel.



2. Which is the reason for my rant I´ve written down above. Obito at least had the decency to be 13 to max 15 years old when his developing teenage psyche was raped infront of him by soldiers that were at war with his country. Mind you, only because of the ideology his country stood for. Rin sacrificed herself because of the Will of Fire. Irene´s husband on the other hand is a douchebag for the sake  of being a douchebag. There are several worlds of distance between the writing quality of  both backstories.



3.1 While you are probably right we do not know the future.

3.2 It´s for the sake of bringing up the whole nurture vs nature argument. Irene threw Erza into the trash as her biological mother, but her adoptive father was good to her. Both characters got tortured in the same way, but Erza is still remains selfless where Irene became selfish. It´s a good moral terribly executed and done infintely better by kids shows like Adventure time.

I honestly think hiro mashima doesn't have a clue what he's doing any more. Erza now is like Natsu and all the sudden has ties to the Dragon race and even Zeref. So what Erza is a dragon slayer or half breed or what ever. Doesn't that like contradict the whole story about the "true" dragon slayers coming from 400 yrs in the past though.  Come on man this is ridiculous and the reason behind why Eiline is suddenly evil, is a bunch of hogwash. I honestly can't take nothing in FT serious any more. Some of these idea's of his just honestly come out of no where.



Some times I think Hiro just comes up with these crazy idea's to show some development with said main characters, but it doesn't really matter in the long run because these "characters" or villains get pretty much killed off in the same arc and there role in the story doesn't amount to nothing at that point.

After that last post I posted. I do hope that's the case.



I have two theories



1- When Erza was born, she snapped back to her "mama" self and realized she couldnt do it, disgusted at herself and unable to look at baby Erza in shame, she left her to care in rosmary village. As for why she is trying to kill her in the present, no clue about that



2-Maybe it was because at the end Erza was born part dragon, she spend hundreds of years in Ieleen´s womb while she was still a dragon, so its not weird to think that Erza body got affected, so Eileen found out she would still be part dragon even if she enchanted herself unto Erza

It's a miracle she didn't lose her sanity sooner.

Erza's bunny-looking armour at the end don't fit the mood XD

LOL Irene had it rough, being betrayed by ur people and ur husband, tortued and humliliated, i guess we get why she hates humans that much and respects Acnologia who's almost like her, maybe he had it rough too before he decided to start killing and destroying everything and anything he encounters



Erza being as brave as ever, she has a very strong personnality, she wasnt infected at all by what Irene said, she knows what her goal and who's her family, didnt waver a little (unlike Natsu when he found out he was Zeref's brother, he lost it for real and was about to commit a double suicide xD)



NO NATSU IN THIS CHAPTER ??? WHY HIRO WHYYYYY I WANNA KNOW WHATS GONNA HAPPEN TO HIM !



im pretty sure Natsu's gonna have a mini arc only for himself, i mean everybody got his own arc / flashbacks in fairy tail except Natsu, the only thing he did was taking down the vilains :

(Deliora and Lion in Gray's arc,

  Jellal and destroyed tower of heaven in Erza's arc,

  Done almost everything in Lucy's arc,

  Oracion cies was for Wendy too, got zero and cobra, saved the guild and stopped nirvana

  Tenrou was related to the past of fairy tail, Gray was a bit related (ultear)

  Laxus arc was for Laxus/Makaroc too

  Edolas was for Happy and charles)



so i guess it's about time we get one for Natsu, and since this one might be the last and Natsu is the MC (along with Lucy)  i think it's going to be dramatic,

I swear, a spin-off telling how this war of humans against dragons played out would be far more interesting than what we got lately.
