According to the spoilers the next chapter is abject trash that is impossible to defend except for one little scene at the start with Laxus and Mavis

Mashima said in an interview that there would be one death on the fairy tails side in this arc that will shake the guild. This fits the bill. He's gone

Still hoping Makarov survives

If Makarov doesn't stay dead i swear I'm dropping this manga like i seriously love ft but good guys need to die too

Even if he is dead all emotional impact is gone.



True that, when you revive the guy a dozen times any impact is gone even if he truly dies.

Instead of feeling sad we are wondering if his really dead.

Makarov dies.

Should've died Arcs ago.



Now he just dies like this? Talk about bad writing. His death seemed forced.

I concur with animefan8800...this surprisingly came around the Corner and Punched us straight into Face.



Jii-chan....Makarov-sama.....He really left with Blaze of Glory....Sayonara Makarov....Rest in Peace with rest of the FT members that have gone Ahead....Going to miss this old man.

I hope he will stay dead after the teasing. for me the chapter was oke.. it didn't feel that terrible since all the other deads were disappointing by bringing them back within the same chapter or the chapter after it... he is probably dead but it just doesn't feel terrible in the slightest to me. He became more of a side character this arc to me. Maybe when the anime airs again it will feel different, for now not so much.



(personally I am starting hate the springans for being so weak that just 1 guild has al the power to wipe them all, 1vs1 even sometimes. They get all these cool intro's and are feared only to be defeated within a few chapters.(Or zeref is just really shitty with picking up strong people)

Hopefully this new Dragneel can actually bring terror to fairy tail. It's too many wins on fairy tails side. And is starting to feel repetetive.(wich could have been avoided by not  bringing every single one back to life so far, quite happy someone finally/probably dies).
