I speak for other timeskip in long running shounens as well, the difference with this is that a major arc is happening right after, not some slow buildup. Unless I'm forgetting something...



There was the avatar arc. And this itself it's a 'twist', I mean could you have predicted that Natsu vs. Zeref would happen so early? My guess is that Acnologia will interfere in this fight, and Natsu will be forced to use his new mode on Acnologia.

Yep a power up that actually makes sense... well Dragon Force makes sense too unlike the elements mode. But it's cool, after he uses all that's left of Igneel last magic, he won't be able to use it agian, which is neat, because this shit is OP as fuck, but then again its the magic of the King of Fire Dragons.



Natsu is still plenty OP against non immortal enemies tho since he only started using this power AFTER he took off the bandage. Meaning everything he's done up to this point is still his own power. This is something specifically for Zeref.



Against that so called 'god' think he used this power, because he even named that one attack Crumbling Fist of the Fire King Dragon, same with the roar we saw last chapter, and possibly the roar he used against Bluenote. Without a doubt Natsu is strong even without this power, but still if not against Bluenote, against the 'god' and last chapter he used a bit of the power, or at least the basic attacks.

I can see natsu transforming into Etherious form to beat all of Acnologia. But Acnologia will take Zeref in and become the immortal dragon king and the Etherious Natus Dragneel will beat them all Fairy Tail Style.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand let's talk about zeref

well i think its no coincidence that gray got demon slaying magic at more or less same time as we start getting the idea of natsu being end, there sure is connection in that

I don't think Zeref is dead.

It was weird as fuck seeing Zeref get his ass kicked, like that. And, on top of that, I was hoping that this fight would last a few chapters, not seemingly ending after one. Like, 264 chapters of buildup (for the Natsu VS. Zeref fight), and nearly 400-something for Zeref's defeat (from the first time the name "Zeref" is mentioned, early on in the series), only to (seemingly) end like this? :/ We better get some E.N.D. shit out of this, or a confession to Natsu from Zeref, or something, or I'm going to be extremely pissed. Zeref can't die like this. No way.



On to the names he mentioned, I would definitely like to see how acquainted he was with Igneel, and their story. Anna, I'm sure of, is Natsu and Zeref's mother. Mashima drew a picture of a young woman resembling Zeref on his twitter, without giving a name, which supports that theory. Maybe we'll get some stuff on her, next chapter. Layla... That name again. Here's a twist: Layla is actually Natsu and Zeref's mother, and Lucy is their sister! DUN-DUN-DUNNNN!! But no. I wonder how they are connected? Perhaps he killed her, or something? And too bad his "last" line, wasn't out loud, however, I'm guessing it'll be one of those "I knew all along" moments, or one of those Naruto-esque moments, where they were able to trade thoughts through those blows, and Natsu is going to stop short and go off on Zeref, lmao. There is also the possibilities, that the attack will stop just short of reaching him, or the attack merely kills the Ankhseram's Curse, within Zeref.



Either way, I can't wait for next week's chapter. :3 Don't screw with me, Mashima!
