@Isterio well focusing on the main characters isn't a bad thing. And the main characters have some interesting stuff tied to them. Lucy's parents are becoming more relevant (especially her mom). Natsu always had a sense of mystery to him, I mean randomly getting into that forest and meeting Igneel? How he got there? What happened? Some stuff are getting explained and make sense so thats good.
In regards to the fanservice, Mashima squezes is there so that he has time to think about plot points and stuff. Because honestly you don't need much to draw some ass & tits shots. Plus its not like every chapter has fanservice (people often exagerrate). And its not like FT its the only big shounen that has fanservice (talking about sexual fanservice).
This is random but if you go and read chapter 257, the one where Lucy recieves a letter from her father, you'll see him saying that he was about to make some huge business in the west, and next to him its a guy who looks llike one of Ajeel's man (the clothes look similar). And we found out Brandish knows Layla last chapter...
@PwnDEnd not sure but can't the armour absorb the light or smth..
metsujin said: @Isterio gmg was my least favorite arc in the series... Some parts of it were decent~
The Fight of Laxus vs Raven Tail was among my favorite Laxus fights and Elfman vs Bacchus was great. Erza vs 100 monsters was awesome.
I disliked the Rufus Gray rivalry because to me it felt forced.
OMG you are an asshole because your magic is better than mine.
Hiro just din´t try towards the end anymore, it felt like, yeah I wasted too much time with this arc, I wanna get this over with and get the dragons rolling so I wrap this up whatver, who gives a fuck.
Then he delivered this chapter
My reaction!
And similar shit was yet to come, I was ok with the Mira Jenny fight and I found the Jellal vs Jura trolling funny, but from Natsu vs double dragons the bullshit didn´t stop till the arc ended. Tartaros gave me hope again for the series and it keeps surprising me.
I´m honest currently it´s a solid 3 overall, but it has delivered the chapters that don´t deserve better than a 1. Which is why I do not understand the current Erza hate, it feels forced to me and looks like some youtuber pointed it out for the sheeps so that they can bleat it. Character wise Erza is among the most developed characters of the story and although she had some of the worst fights she also had the most fights and that includes some of the best.
And where the hell do all the Lucy lovers sprout all of sudden?
People kept bitching about her, calling her the next Sakura,now everyone wants to see Lucy? Though that isn´t true as Lucy is way more developed than Sakura, hell she´s actually more developed than the OP tards beloved Nami.
I think Lucy is worse but we saw a hell lot more variety from her than we saw from Nami.
This chapter was weak, howeverboth the battles of FT and OP suck. The first are too accelerated while the latter are too slow (sometimes I prefer the long DBZ battles to OP battles).
Lightning it contact with sand turns into glass. Google it xd but yea Natsu would've had a the upper hand. But the fight was nice and made sense.
If the story goes the way I expect it to go, every fight in Fairy Tail ever will make sense closing all plotholes.
Feelings= magic.
Feelings=power all fights make sense.
It´s just too easy to wite any 5 year old can ignore the rules and change them on a whim. This fight was actually an exception. It didn´t require a deus ex machina to be fixed.
Erza actually got help from a friend, which is the message of the manga.
Erza´s and to an extent Natsu´s fights are annoying because they always talk how they need their friends but they only seem to require their help in spirit.
This fight was literal teamwork, whoever complains about it and gives any other Shounen a pass is just a salty bitch that hates on Fairy tail.
Kaimon said: Well....at least she needed an assist to deliver the finishing blow, by Erza standards this is a step up.
While reading the chapter i just keep praying that:
no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk no nakama talk
no nakama power-up no nakama power-up no nakama power-up no nakama power-up no nakama power-up no nakama power-up no nakama power-up no nakama power-up no nakama power-up no nakama power-up no nakama power-up
and it's a success. There's no randomly power up. I love how Bisca trusted that that light is Erza. And Erza is awesome in this chapter.
