Considering Brandish said all other 11 (now 10) Spriggans are of her strength (including Ajeel), if that's what it takes to beat one...



I'm kinda lowering my expectations for now... is what I'd like to say. I guess Ajeel was the grunt of the group. I'll accept the win by Erza for now..

Wow, well Ajeel didn't last long, the fight was rather quick. Loved it.

Kyoka vs Erza took several chapters and was entertaining. It became bullshit when it concluded. Why was it bullshit? Because it was unbelieveable cheaply written and ended on a boring climax.



Fairy Tail is known to oneshot it´s enemies and no it´s not because she´s Erza.



Natsu, Lucy Gray, even Ichija have bullshit wins under their belt, so has Mirajane Seliah vs Mira was bullshit.Elfman came in kicked her and she died

The sole reason Erza has the most bullshit fights is because she has the most fights in general with Natsu.



Why is this fight bad? It did nothing different from usual FT fights.

The first of an elite group got beaten fairly quickly, and required a team effort to be taken down, without any speeches and even some tactical usage of abilities.



It´s not like she used a Pikachu against a ground type, she went out of her way to take a water type and even called in assistance to beat a boss. What´s peoples problem with this?

It's not like I'm mad or angry for the fact that Erza was the victory here, I mean c'mon people should get used to her fights, but I'm just surprised and like I said "not sure how to react to this" since it was over like that, too sudden.



Like you said Erza vs Kyouka took SEVERAL chapters, while Azir vs Erza took no more than 2 chapters or something like that since the other chapters didn't even focused on the fight, if we get the all of panels of this fight, it doesn't even make a single chapter of 19pages, it was THAT fast.



And remember I don't give a crap if it's Erza, the fight was strange because it was over very quickly and not because it's Erza's fight.



That's the part of me that thought it was "bad" or not enough, the other part of me is glad that it took a decent "teamwork" to take down a Spriggan.



Overall, I just think that I'm blinded by how hyped the Spriggans got and thus making me think this was going to be super epic with mindblowing fights, rather than the simple one we just got, I mean let's be honest Azir was shot down directly by a frigging cannon, no matter how strong you're, you should be able to go down after that.

And style makes fights. Erza did lose instantly lose to some random goon earlier in the arc but she was gimped so we didn't really know how strong Erza  was if she fought someone who couldn't gimp her completely.



What if Erza loses straight up? Would people really be happy with that either? Yes this conclusion left something to be desired but if Erza lost (assuming she is probably among the strongest of the protagonists in this arc), how would they get out of this pickle?



Do you want Jellal to come out of nowhere to save them? Jellal probably will come out of nowhere to save the day later on anyway but I doubt Jellal and his group will be enough to help take down the 12 anyway. Even now I don't know how the protagonists are going to have a chance and Erza already took down one of them (probably).



In the end the biggest mistake wasn't that Erza won, it was that the 12 were massively overhyped by Hiro. By making them too powerful, Hiro will have to pull off some pretty lame moves to kill them off anyway and considering the current situation I have to say that it isn't going as bad as I thought it was going to go.



Which is what he always does and what the whole problem of Fairy Tail is.

Oda does a similar thing, however he paces his fights better.

Rob Luccy vs Luffy one of the most loved fights in the One Piece fandom works with a similar concept as Kyouka vs Erza, but it´s completely different paced.



He never hits the point where he cannot do anything, that happens after the fight, the problem with Hiro´s pacing is, he makes them fall during the fight revives them through friendship they do the final blow and all of suden they are ok again and can even walk.



It´s the small details that make the differences.

It´s actually the first time since Edolas where Erza legitimately wins a fight without using dumb powerups. Furthermore it´s her first fight she wins through teamplay since Lullaby. One Piece and Naruto get alot of praise for exactly those kind of chapters.





But people keep bitching. Do people just don´t like hot powerful women that can fight their fights alone and even kick ass while looking hot?



I do understand and agree 100% with Tenru Erza and Tartaros Erza but bitching over this fight is just pointless hate.

It´s one of the few times Hiro goes out of his way to take out a mayor player through teamplay instead of a speech, furthermore the guy was hit by Jupiter twice, the first time he blocked because prepared and now he ate it bulls eye.



Seilah was oneshot by a kick. A KICK!

The Fight of Laxus vs Raven Tail was among my favorite Laxus fights and Elfman vs Bacchus was great. Erza vs 100 monsters was awesome.

I disliked the Rufus Gray rivalry because to me it felt forced.

OMG you are an asshole because your magic is better than mine.



Hiro just din´t try towards the end  anymore, it felt like, yeah I wasted too much time with this arc, I wanna get this over with and get the dragons rolling so I wrap this up whatver, who gives a fuck.

And similar shit was yet to come, I was ok with the Mira Jenny fight but from Natsu vs double dragons the bullshit didn´t stop till the arc ended.

Yep as I said some stuff were decent. Mixed about the Jenny Mira fight, bs natsu vs twin dragons, bs lucy losing to flare, zirconis magic making everyone lose their clothes, gajeel toss aside in the first battle (at least shadow iron dragon was cool) etc

so this time erza beat ajeel ....

What would her lose achieved for the story?



1.She won´t die, everyone should be 100% sure about this Hiro had his momment with her it´s gone, he can´t trick the audience with her death aynymore.



2. Erza losing forces Hiro into someone replacing her spot.



3. We would need a bullshit excuse why "a Spriggan" left her live or why she survived him.



4. Who should take Erza´s spot? She´s labelled the strongest women of Fairy Tail.



5. What´s the gain in making her lose if those are the repurcussions?
