I was left a bit confused by it as well. It almost seemed like she died in Zeref's arms, from the power of love breaking the curse. The whole thing got a bit abstract.



A bit off topic, but does anyone else feel like the anime will adapt Zero as a part of this story when it gets there? Seems like the perfect placement for it...

This aside this was an amazing chapter! Like, a ship finally became canon omg >w< they're so cute and their love story is so tragic~~ :'(

Rita...Poor Yuriya...T.T that was not Mavis fault...but Zeref Manipulations make it seem so...that happened in wrong moment.



Mavis...Died!?!?! Holy shit...looks like Zeref Curse is powerful enough to kill immortals huh.

These two are now one of the better couples in the story imo.



Next chapter will most likely be intel on what fairy heart is and what it can do. Been waiting for a while now so I'm excited.

Finally figured out why Mavis died. It is actually very simple. It is not that she was weak because she didn't eat or because Zeref had the curse longer. This curse is called "Curse of Contradiction", which means that it can cause a paradox if it is strong enough - In this case, killing the one who is immortal.

Just like we all thought, Mavis killed Makarov's mother, or that is one heck of a coincidence, and Mavis named Makarov. Seeing Makarov as a baby is just weird.



I thought when Mavis just lost all hope, she looked like a drug addict. Anyway Zeref x Mavis happened for real, I don't believe it. So I don't get the end of the chapters, did Zeref cause Mavis to be frozen and become Fairy Heart, did his love create Fairy Heart? And why does part of him hate his brother, he wants to kill him? Zeref is a weird person, but all that time can drive you insane. Maybe Mavis being sealed saved her from going insane like Zeref.



A good chapter, I don't know if we are done with the flashback yet. Next chapter titled Fairy Heart we will finally learn the secret.

You don't seem to understand how this curse works, it makes everything a contradiction. Zeref both wants Natsu to destroy him, but he also wants to make Natsu suffer and die. His feelings are fucked up because of the CURSE.

Zeref is going to die from a kiss by possibly Natsu
