I doubt that "death" means anything else (in this case), than death itself. No hidden meaning, no nothing. Otherwise I'm sure that it would have been blackened as well or, like Warrod and Precht, stated that he withdrew without explaining further or what happened after that.



There are  too many conveniences for it to be just death, also we knew Mavis wasn´t "really  dead" that was no more secret so it was reasonable to blacken it out. However Yuri´s story is something that won´t get revealed if right now but if he´s God Serena when he´ll hit the spotlight, since it´s meant to be a secret blackening it out too  would be too obvious foreshadowing.



Mavis dies and Yuri dies 3 years after?

I don´t buy it, especially since Mavis happens to dissapear just right after Makarovs birth.  So her dissapereance is more or less confirmed to be conencted to Makarov.



Keep in mind that he´s the only one who has "God" in his surname.



Warrod doesn´t have it, the Elven guy doesn´t have it and the guy who is probably Elfman´s granddad (joke) doesn´t have it either.



If there is actually no relation and "God Serena" is just some new random dude than it was a poor design choice for his looks on Hiros part.



The last time we got introduced a random OP person (Kagura) it was revealed that she was related to Simon and that Erza saved her life.

Or remember the time when it turned out that Gildarts is Cana´s Dad?

Or the time when it was revealed that the guy who looked like Gray from the future was Gray´s dad?

Or the time when we learned that the Oracion seis guy was Wally´s brother.

Or the time when Angel turned out to be Yukino´s big sis.



There is such a thing as reading too much into things. You have no basis for your theory other than wishful thinking. Hell Warrod would recognize him. since he was a wizard saint too =_= People need to just let go of this stupid theory

I got two more reasons to add. 1-Serena receded only recently. If he really hates Mavis/Fiore/Fairy tail from the bottom of his heart why only now?

2-The eyelashes. All 4 Dreyars we know so far have the characteristic of big eyelashes. Serena dowsn't have them. The new haircut? Sure, maybe Yuri had a change of styhle but Hiro wouldn't abandond the hereditary characteristic he gave to this family.



Guess I have to be more clear with the prediction.

I do not claim that Yuri is a bad guy in any way shape or form at any stage of the story, even after becoming "God Serena".



Serena is a woman´s name, here my thoughts. Zeref experimented with bringing back the dead and became the first immortal. Mavis wanted her friend to become human again performed incomplete dark magic to bring him back and became immortal too. My assumption  next chapter Makarov´s Mom "Serena" will die (we won´t learn her name yet.

Mavis will think it´s her fault and random people wll die around her, she´ll blame herself she´ll crystalyze her body in order to prevent people from dying around her.



After losing his wife and his best friend Yuri experiments for several years in bringing back his dead wife Serena. He fails and becomes the 3rd immortal.

In order to protect his loved ones(not survive them) because being struck with the same fate as Mavis, he becomes a wandering Hermit to repent for his sins and calls himself Serena after his dead wife as a reminder for his mistake.

Him currently working with Zeref has most likely other reasons than him actually allying with him, Yuri was taught magic by Zeref, it could be yet another undercover mission.

Just got to read the chapter. Am impressed with the build up for this storyline, but I am confused.



Zeref's curse radiates black and turned Natsu's scarf black. It looked very similar to god slaying magic in the anime. And Wendy was not able to heal Natsu after his fight with Zancrow until she purified the scarf.



Yet the Lumen histoire is light. And the trapped Mavis projects light.



How are they inverses of each other if they are the same thing?



Maybe because the because the origin was a bit different. That's the easy answer because Mavis using law and Zeref's story in chapter 436 did not look the same.



But...



I am wondering if Mavis did something to change her curse which made Zeref realize the value of life (go live on tenrou island for so many years)?

Mavis immortal as well, tbh it didnt came as a shock as i thought, already had a feeling when i saw that Mavis was still alive before the story and when we saw first lumen histoire/Fairy heart.. nice and emotional around the conversation between Mavis and Zeref..

Little makarov is born :3

Another huge step for Zeref X Mavis shippers. If romance will go like it did in Naruto then Natsu might have onee-san in the end of manga XD

just finished reading the latest chapter . well mavis being immortal it was predictable . we were just assured that its true. however it looks like the ghost we see actually was  mavis's illusion . and she used illusion because if she got in touch with people they will die .... that is why probably she created lumen histoire and created her own mirror image to contact with people. And she can only control her curse when she is in midst of battle like current situation. Thats why she came in her actual from .. not in her illusion ( based on erza's reaction in chapter 448 ) .



and as for makarov maybe she will kill yuri's wife unintentionally (or not) and thus rage yuri and other members as well.. and she will explain herself and maybe her friends will help her ....... and look like ivan found out about this fact that mavis can kill anybody when she is out of crystal and said it was fairy tail's darkness....



now as for this arc i am believing some characters who are dead ( mysteriously like Layla Heartfillia ) may come back via some unknown reason or known reason i am not sure....and for final battle i am expecting some battle like [ natsu (END) vs fairy tail > zeref and spriggan vs fairy tail and co > and acknolgia vs all mages alliance > and at last ankhseram vs the whole mages including zeref and mavis alliance .....



this are all my assumptions and i will try to get all piece together with some real proper logic..... :3 :v

it's a boy! lol

now we have two immortals. another week to wait
