I got two more reasons to add. 1-Serena receded only recently. If he really hates Mavis/Fiore/Fairy tail from the bottom of his heart why only now?

2-The eyelashes. All 4 Dreyars we know so far have the characteristic of big eyelashes. Serena dowsn't have them. The new haircut? Sure, maybe Yuri had a change of styhle but Hiro wouldn't abandond the hereditary characteristic he gave to this family.



Guess I have to be more clear with the prediction.

I do not claim that Yuri is a bad guy in any way shape or form at any stage of the story, even after becoming "God Serena".



Serena is a woman´s name, here my thoughts. Zeref experimented with bringing back the dead and became the first immortal. Mavis wanted her friend to become human again performed incomplete dark magic to bring him back and became immortal too. My assumption  next chapter Makarov´s Mom "Serena" will die (we won´t learn her name yet.

Mavis will think it´s her fault and random people wll die around her, she´ll blame herself she´ll crystalyze her body in order to prevent people from dying around her.



After losing his wife and his best friend Yuri experiments for several years in bringing back his dead wife Serena. He fails and becomes the 3rd immortal.

In order to protect his loved ones(not survive them) because being struck with the same fate as Mavis, he becomes a wandering Hermit to repent for his sins and calls himself Serena after his dead wife as a reminder for his mistake.

Him currently working with Zeref has most likely other reasons than him actually allying with him, Yuri was taught magic by Zeref, it could be yet another undercover mission.



I give up.

I'll wait and see what will happen, because a discussion with you is like to discuss with a wall.



(No offense. I just don't like people going 'round, throwing in theories based on self-made assumptions without any actual proof.)

Zeref stated that the curse's the same (at least in my translation).

What made me curious was what Zeref stated after discovering the curse: "Have you chosen what kind of lives you will be taking...?"

Thinking about this, there would be a way to decide how the curse is reacting, am I right? That could be that difference in the curses.

It´s nothing to deep tbh, since you´ve read Ravemaster I do believe the final villain is an opposite Star memory, while the solution to everything is Lucy who can acces an alternative version of Star memory.



As a reminder: Rave master spoilers
Star memory was confirmed to be the accumulation of thoughts and feelings of every humanoid being that has existed, at the same time it was a device to make a single wish come true if reached. In the biggest plottwist of Ravemaster it get´s revealed that,
the world the story takes place is an artifical universe created through time travel by altering the past, through the last living human who survived the apocalypse of the original world, by going to Star memory and requesting that wish. Ironically that human was the villains bloodline´s ancestor.



However very early in the story there is alot of talk about Endless, the name get´s thrown around and several people seem to know about it,yet we never get a specification or anything besides a name. Than he appears out of nowhere and it get´s revealed that he´s called the Master of oblivion.
Cut to end of story, we learn that Endless and Darkbring are the same and basicly the accumulation of all the hatered and malice of the world, whose sole purpose is to destroy the fake universe because it´s fake and it was humanities fate to die out.



So here are my thought´s to the FT endgame. Zeref is a more complicated Lucia.

The hidden "gods" are Endless equivalent in this story.

Lucy will take Ellies role of being responsible for destroying the endgame (it won´t be Natsu). She´ll be the plotdevice to reach Star Memory (the one magic)



Natsu took Ellies Amnesia part, in this story  it´s him who is from x years from the past, explaining the whole plot with the dragons.



It´s actually quite recycled but better paced since it was dished out in a horrible speed in Rave by the end where Fairy Tail is better with it´s foreshadowing and teaching it´s important plotpoints step by step, however it´s a recycled story I´m predicting.

In year x696, Yuri's child is born. Makarov's mother is Rita.

It seems that Rita asked Mavis to bless the child.. and Mavis realized the true meaning of life.. killing Rita.

We go to Zeref's side. He explains that the ones that were cursed escape the reality... isolating themselves.

It seems that Mavis isolated herself in a forest, and met Zeref for three times. In the third time, she asked him if he would go with her to find a way to break the curse.

It seems that the curse also affects Love. Zeref and Mavis love each other, but they can't assume this because they would kill each other. Life continued.. and this story about a cursed boy and cursed girl is indeed a Tragic Love Story that turned out to be the beginning of darkness in the world.



FT 251 "Fairy of the Heart"



Hiro's twitter post this week said that his editor was shocked at something in the chapter.







So it looks like Zervis was the real thing.



Mavis killed Rita. Looks like some of those theories were spot on for this event. Wonder how it connected to Yuriy dying later?



So they were not taking chances of killing each other??



Curses and love are related



So the two were looking for a cure which is why they went to the one magic. Fairy heart has something to do with one magic confirmed.



The thing with his editor being surprised at a part in the chp has got me hyped!!!!



Well inb4 called that shit.

But that´s just half of my prediction, which was the obvious part, let´s see if the other part comes true as well.

It was never confirmed that it can kill Zeref, we just know that it's something really 'amazing', it could stop face.

Decent chapter, Hiro hasn´t dropped the ball recently and he tends to use his backstories thoughtful.



My prediction. Yuri loses his wife through Mavis and becomes immortal by using an "incomplete dark spell" as well. Calling himself God Serena.

Mavis and Zeref were so cute :3

Wonder what Mavis's curse is, can't be the same as Zeref's.

If it is though, that's most likely why she's sealed in that crystal.

Damn, can't wait for the next chapter!

I think that Mavis perfected the spell in her own way at one point, inventing Fairy Glitter and Fairy Sphere alongside it, making Law the base of Fairy Law, altering it nontheless. And since it is a spell that is not quite the same, therefore just for members of Fairy Tail, Makarov and Laxus were able to cast it.



I think the difference about Mavis and Zeref is going to be how they define the value of life itself. For Zeref, all life is precious in some way. He may have studied the black arts with his little brother in mind, but his goal was to alter the borders between life and death itself. Mavis on the other hand, values the lives of her comrades more than anything else. She may regret killing other people, but if she is able to protect the ones dear to her, she will do so.

So while for one of them all life is equal, the other will choose which are more important. So their curses will be different in that regard.

I think while Zeref has no "control" in who he is going to kill, Mavis will have, although subconscious.
