I'm sure a few others have as well, but CALLED IT!

Ever since we got this magazine cover image (Which I cropped for convenience)

around the middle of last year, I knew Natsu would end up with a tattoo of some sort and the fact that he kept the bandage on his right arm on after removing all the rest was a dead giveaway.

Seems to be reacting to her power, and the fact that the Dragons also tied into Ishagar seems to also play some relevance to it as well. I think the teaser image for the new movie gave it away already, though.

Also, if it ends up with Erza fighting Brandish then I'd be okay with that. I got sick to death of her fighting Kyouka it bored me.

No no no no no no no no no no no no no NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! No more Erza fan service and fights I've had enough of it I'm sick of all the erza fights, Haven't u ver heard too much of a good thing is a bad thing well this is why Erza fights r boring they have too many. Natsu gets away with it cuz he is the mc and Gray always finds a way to change things up but I can't take anymore of the same old same old. At least let Mira fight her since Amira and Erza r equals. Or someone more powerful cuz currently Natsu, Gray, and Gajeel surpass her in magic power with their new devil slayer magic and dual element modes. Just please no more Erza

This is why Girldarts and Laxus fights are badass and something to always looked forward to, because they don't have a fight with every other enemy

That's probably an END marking..... Not Igneel's

I can't believe Laxus would mingle with such a lame guild, should of at least of been Lamia Scale.

No that's the thunder legion also he would be perfect for the job. Laxus the Badass is training to be even more of a badass only checking up on them every nice in a while.

I can't decide how I felt about this chapter. Laxus and crew joining Blue Pegasus just doesn't feel right... The GaLe bait was hilarious with Juvia's commentary. But in regards to Alvarez... It just felt like Mashima is trying too hard to demonstrate these guys as a threat. The escalation of Fairy Tail always felt real up until now. For heaven's sake, if Alvarez's best are this strong, they could've wrecked Tartaros without trying. Am I the only one that feels this way? This arc is coming across as forced...

You're acting as if Alvarez wanted anything to do with Fiore or Tartaros in general except LH

Tartaros was powerful but they were never stated to being the strongest. Zeref labelled them as failed projects.

You missed the point. I was comparing the power-levels of the two factions, not their motives.

Zeref labeled them as failed projects, but he's pretty much the strongest wizard ever. The established power levels of Alvarez pretty much says one of them could solo Mard Geer without breaking a sweat. Does that feel right to you?

No they couldn't beet Mard Geer without breaking a sweat, the dude can use curse, also Natsu & Gray won because of Gray and his Devil Slayer Magic, regardless of how strong you are, if you have magic that can nullify (example Marin Hollow with Space Magic) or is super effective (like Devil Slayer Magic, Dragon Slayer Magic), you won't have that much of a chance. Even dragons were affected only by Dragon Slaying Magic, other magics were pretty much useless.

Devil-slaying magic had the increased effect, yes. But two things:

1. Other magics could still work perfectly fine on the demons. Devil Slayer magic was just super-effective.

2. Gray comments that her magical presence is like nothing he's felt before. That's a crystal clear of her power. The increased power trope has gotten completely out of hand with this arc.

I thought demons didn't have magical presences, though. They're made of pure ether and they use curses, not magic.

I really enjoyed this chapter. Lady Brandish impressed me so much that I actually forgot about the whole GaLe moment. Honestly though, Mashima's all for fanservice but I never thought he'd go that far. Whatever, it was fun so I'm not complaining.

Back to Lady Brandish; she's awesome. Yeah, she took out one of her own but she's the bad guy so it doesn't surprise me. I wonder how the Fairy Tail mages will win this one. Maybe with E.N.D.'s help? Or maybe Mavis will do something.

As much as I love Erza, I kind of have to agree with you. But we all know that there's going to be at least one major Erza fight so she might as well fight with Lady Brandish. They already have one similarity; rather strange priorities... The only problem is that I really don't want to hear another "She won because she's Erza." Honestly, what the hell... That Kyoka fight was really annoying. If you're going to make Erza win, make it realistic. As long as Mashima does that, I'm okay with watching her fight.

With lady brandish being that strong I'm hoping Amira and Erza have to tag team her. I've been wanting to see those two fight together since I learned Mira and Erza r equal in power.

Oh yeah, that will be even better. And realistic. Now you've got me all hyped up... An Erza and Mirajane battle will be sure to spice things up!

Am I the only one who's trying to make sense of the power levels? In Tartaros you had Mard Geer who was supposed to be the the (2nd?) strongest Demon that Zeref ever made... and was literally fucking shit up left and right. Hiro even had a panel where Mard implied that he would go fight Acnologia...

But here we have the first of the Spriggan 12 and she's being implied to be on a whole different level than Mard Geer. And the fact that she made a whole island disappear just like that, is implying that she's Acnologia level, seeing as he also leveled a whole island back in the Tenrou Island arc.

I guess I'm just confused as to how Tartaros was gonna have a "destroy the world" threat when there are 12 or more humans just one continent away that could have crushed them.

^This, yup demons don't use magic. Gray said this chapter that her magic power could be above Makarov's power. I think the only other person they reacted like that was against Hades. Ohh and Natsu was scared shitless when Gildarts got a little serious.

Brandish's current level is somewhere near Gildarts, maybe slightly below him. This is a way to hype up the thread, plus Warrod states that there are strong wizards outside Ishgar. Look at Jellal, his family name is Fernandez, he could possibly be from the West, and he is a very skillfull magician.

I just hope that with someone this strong Gildarts fights again. The only time we really got to see him fight was on tenrou and I've been waiting to see him fight again. I get hiro has to take him out sometimes like laxus so that those two cant just one shot all the enemies but with wizards as strong as brandish he can afford to put Gikdarts and Laxus in so he better that's the main thing I'm looking for in this arc besides Natsu arm. The main thing I want is badass fights and nothing can compare to Laxus and Gildarts when it comes to that except maybe Igneel vs. Acnologia but he's dead now so nothing.

If I may say something, I don't think how they reacted to Brandish's power should mean she's stronger than Mard Geer.

I mean, look at it this way, Natsu trembled before Gildarts but was able to stand up to Mard Geer just fine, I would assume Mard Geer is stronger than Gildarts if he really took on the Celestial Spirit King and fought him as an equal.

I just think it's just a shounen problem really, power level inconsistencies to hype up the most recent villain.

Did you not see what she did to the island. It's pretty obvious she's much stronger than Marde

Okay, hear me out, the Celestial Spirit King was able to slice through Qube (I believe that's what Tartaros's floating island was called) and Mard Geer fought him as an equal, so I don't know, really if it wasn't for the fact that Mard was able to go toe to toe with some like the CSK, I'd totally agree that Brandish is far beyond him. Besides, I still believe that Natsu and Gray only won because of the Devil Slaying magic, that's the only reason they survived Mard's Momento Mori anyway.

That cube was nowhere near as large as the island plus it was a living thing. That tower that the island became could act like a BASEBALL bat compared to the cube >_>

Hell Erza punched Kyouka through it in record time.

Er....you sure?

I'm not even saying I think you're wrong, I just legitimately can't tell.

Also, consider how stupidly strong she is in general, I'd imagine Erza could burst her way through the other island as well.

Just watched the new Episode. The cube is not even as big as Magnolia. SOrry to tell you.

Oh....welp, GG?
