FT arcs always starts the same, strong enemies showing huge drama over it, then 5 - 7chapters later they are getting owned, or FT just wins with nakama power and that's just stupid.
They should make this a 1year arc since there's so many things being focused from the start of the time lapse up to now.

All of that plus good fights without stupid nakama fights(Erza fights),real fights with Laxus and Gildarts and this has everything to be the best arc.
Agreed is time for Gildarts to take part in this shit. You have strong people that are suited to fight him. Honestly Erza could pull some armor and bam instant defeat... man that fight will be disappointing can almost smell the hate. On a record I like Fairy Tail, and some of the fights are you know cool, okay, some great, but I hate Erza's fights, I like her as a character, but I hate her fights.
Said this many times, but for some FT members to win, on a 1 vs. 1 battle is not impossible, it'll be hard and they'll struggle, which is a good thing, But for others like Lucy, Wendy (Dragon Force is strong, but she's still young), Juvia, Cana, Levy etc.. I can see them teaming up to defeat one of them. That would be fun. I don't know how it will go from here, either Alvarez will try to invade and they'll start a war, involving the rest of Ishgar, thus involving other guilds and the 10 wizard saints, that would be cool.
To be honest it is not badly written if Fairy Tail handles that by themselves.
I´m critical but I also know this is a shounen. No one wants to see an all out war in a shounen. It doesn´t work and would require the introduction of countless characters we don´t care tracking back and forth between boring shortlived sequences of fights.
Make it Fairy Tail vs the 12 Sprigan but make it right.
Oda does the very same and no one gives him bullshit for using that formula every arc.
Just do it right, all I want is proper powerscaling.
1. Make all the 12 Sprigan threatening. No trolls among them The 7kin of Purgatory had a troll one and two who got talk no jutsued but it made sense. The whole Ocean thing was Bs except Ul decided to haunt Tenru Island alongside Mavis.
Even Tartaros had two trolls one was a footsoldier, so please stick to the footsoldiers for the troll characters.
2.Give the characters he always trolls a proper fight. That inclues Gildarts Mira and Laxus.
3. Leave any humor out of this arc besides single panels maybe. There is no space for humor when you wanna create tension. Especially when you sacrifice characterisation for it.

An ARC that everything was done right was Tenroujima, that got me really hyped with GH being strong as fuck, plus Gildarts,Laxus,honestly can say that was the best arc for me, the fights were a bit lackluster to say the least but that was ok.
Well I think you pretty much said everything I wanted, a serious arc that has strong enemies needs strong allies so not only FT needs Gildarts and Laxus back but I feel like they will also need the help of other guilds and that opens up to Jura and hopefully even Jellal can help aswell.
Yeah I agree Tenrou was great and for once the enemies lived up to the hype and we got to see some badass fights instead of the usual Erza wins just becuase she is Erza(that was okay near the begining but now it's starting to piss me off. Why can't it be Mira for once or something realistic like Erza and Mira have to tag team. Or Laxus and gildarts like in tenrou). Seriously Tenrou would be my favorite arc if tarturous didn't have Igneel vs. Acnologia

They r giving them waaay too little scenes and they r better than team Natsu the only thing team Natsu got going for them right now that was pretty cool is Natsu arm. Who knows what it could be. It could be his first signs of dragonfication since he is the son of Igneel and a dragonslayer and we don't know if they fully finished the anti bodies so instead turning into a full dragon he could just be changing a little. Or it could be his first signs of his Etherious form like the 9 demon gates had.
After getting so OP and losing his limiter(Igneel) his true powers could be starting to grow, maybe a lil too fast, and as such either his dragonslayer powers have increased a lot and he is undergoing dragonfication or it is his first signs or reawaking his END powers. Or u know it could just be something he got while training.
Besides Natsu Arm the only good think besides B team part is that the hype is real not like in avatar arc. Seriously though if the next chapter isn't all B team, mice and long, and Kaxus doesn't make an appeared, then I'm gonna be pissed.

I don't want you to treat the B team like team Natsu. I just want a lil balance and to stop spamming all these team Natsu scenes and fights. Natsu main and is team is main too I get that. But you don't need to show them in every other fight and if u do be realistic cuz it's obvious Erza can't be any of these Sprrogan twelve so I don't wanna see an era wins cuz she's erza. That's makes no sense a Laxus wins cuz he's Laxus or Gildarts wins cuz he's gildarts make more sense cuz they are actually badass and kinda OP, but Erza not at least make her team up with Mira to fight these battles.
Also I was about to drop this manga till this arc was finished until I read Gajeel Made a B team and saved the day and is getting badass Laxus who has been training and is even more badass now but then hiro just trolls us only showing the B team as fan service and its pissing me off. I like to see B team comedy and fanservice but I like to see Laxus be a badass even more. If the next chapter isn't all B team Ima seriously be pissed or at least majority B team.

She better at least team up with Mira. If Erza beats one of those spriggan 12 solo cuz she's Ezra I'll be pissed but not surprised. The only one I can see her beating solo is brandish and that's cuz in the middle they'd probably just give up to eat mango star fruit or cake or whatever and bond like sisters

It does make for a nice signature considering Wendy is my favorite character. Finally seeing it animated was amazing, hopefully it looks as nice as the opening animation when it actually happens in the anime.

And I liked how organized Mashima seemed to be about Marin's ability, because it indicated a more versatile and broad world of magic that the FT wizards would have to catch up on. Nope.
All we got for extra pages was more B rated humor from the classy B team. I'll admit there's something fitting about them all being together. Now Mashima can safely offscreen them and their antics without fan backlash while focusing on the main characters. Like how Sanji from One Piece has been gone for a year. This is our vacation time now.
And yes, whoever called Natsu having a tattoo on his arm gets credit.

Fantastic chapter overall. Brandish is op as fuck, and I really like her personality as well since she doesn't even care to fight (Can't believe she obliterated her own ally). Even if Natsu and the others have power ups they haven't revealed yet, I don't think they will be able to handle the 12 most powerful Wizards of this country with ease if we're going by the power displayed so far.
Dat Dragon Force of Wendy tho. :)
